This is very special salt. It's got a slightly moist feel, a slightly course texture, and a delicious, complex flavor. It's harvested in Guereande on the coast of Brittany, France. This salt has minerals that give it a nice taste and a darker color than regular table salt.This would make a very nice addition to a gourmet food gift basket. I really like it a lot.

This finishing salt has a strong distinct salty flavor that rests easily on the palette. The grains are larger than regular salt and has a flakey look.I first tried it on an omelet and then on a steak dinner, and manoman did it elevate both dishes. I feel so fancy using this salt. Good stuff!

I had heard that salt harvested from the sea would have a flavor reminiscent of the sea. This is why I bought this product. I have only had Fleur De Sel De Guerande salt one other time. It was atop caramel that I bought In a candy shop. It was divine. When I saw this offering from Gourmanity, I had to have it. It was every bit as good as I remember. This salt has a large flake and is tender. Melts with a mild salt flavor with no bitterness. This salt is handharvested in France. I appreciate its subtle flavor and keep this handy for everything from trout almondine, fancy desserts, and ice cream.

This salt has a lot of flavor, so just a pinch or sprinkle will be more than enough. The container is nice, has a rip cord to open the cap, although the cap looked askew. But I didn't notice any spillage.Different kind of granules, too, not fine, not coarse. Almost snow like? Interesting and fun to try because of the heritage designation. Would make a great gift for a cooksomeone who loves to try different salts.

This is unprocessed and raw salt, which is huge focus with French cooking. I used this to sprinkle over avocado toast, seasoning meat before cooking. Such a healthy way to incorporating salt in your diet. Grains are small and easy to add without cooking. I am a big fan of sea salt for our body.

The salt itself is great! Pure, small grain and looks a little moist, just like it should! There was a little mishap in transit however. The salt was shipped in a soft envelope, so the cardboard based salt container was crushed and the salt was flowing freely inside the envelope, not the container. The seller was kind enough to immediately replace it, at her own expense, and the second shipment came intact. I highly recommend that the shipping container would be changed into a small box OR that the salt container would be rolled inside a stiffer cardboard to keep it intact during transit.

Hand raked salt is Always damp believe it or not!I have been eating such for decades this salt is okay but I have had much better. If you're hand raked salt is dry crumbly something is wrong, it is harder to find good quality raked salt but not at a value price.
