I was worried about buying this pruner, since there weren't any reviews before mine, but I was quite impressed. It feels substantial in the hand, not flimsy, and the blades closely scissor together. The spring is substantial but not too strong, and the vinyl on the handles has a slightly rough texture for easy gripping. Note, however, that it's only rated to cut stems and limbs up to 1/2" thick. That makes it good for about 80 percent of garden pruning, but you'll need one with a larger bite for thicker branches. (For those, I recommend getting a lopper -- Walmart sells many types.) One note: If you have small hands, don't get this pruner. Opened, the outer sides of the handles are approx 6" wide at their widest point and 3" wide at the narrowest. I have an average hand and that spread is about as wide as I'd want it. (To find out if your hand is larger or smaller, search for "hand size for average body," and there's a handy -- no pun intended -- chart.) I always lose my pruners, so I don't buy expensive ones. These fit the bill nicely.
