It is very easy to setup, just follow well written instructions. I love the simplicity of the remote once setup. If buying this remote for someone with memory problems you'll probably need to set it up for them. Works great with EVO TIVO Streaming ip box.

First it's white not black. Has only volume, channel and power on/off. Other buttons are hidden under slide out case.

I haven't had a chance to set it up. But just from the looks, it will be perfect for a dementia patient. Simple buttons and large enough for those who may have vision problems. This remote was highly recommended by the dementia unit my aunt is in.

Overly complicated to program. Once programed, the device works poorly when changing favorite channels. Whether it's the cable unit or remote, changing channels is slow and inconsistent. My father could not use it without multiple errors. Don't purchase.
