These an amazing!! Totally doable by one person (and a chick no less!) you need a jigsaw or circular saw for around posts and THAT is it I didn't think the cut tiles looked good near the house so I used PVC at the boarder which is amazing. I hope I win a prize for this review because I would do my other deck!!!!
I mistakenly gave Justin P's review a thumbs down and thought I could correct it by clicking Report (late night, tired reading will do that!). Flooring Inc= please change to Thumb Up and remove Report. Thanks!
This product was super easy to install. My 11 year old daughter was able to help and we were done with a 400 sq foot area in a few hours. These tiles are gorgeous and have transformed my yard into the relaxing oasis I’ve always wanted. Would recommend to anyone looking to transform their yard especially those looking to avoid paying for a contractor.
The Helios deck tiles are a great product! I would definitely use them again and I have recommended them to several neighbors. We installed these tiles 2 years ago and they still look brand new. The interlocking feature made installation easy. They are difficult to cut if your space isn't perfectly square but, we got it done and I couldn.t be happier with the results. Shipping took some time but the local company delivered to our door and called to give me notice of when the would be arriving. Great experience all the way around.
We refreshed this deck in a day. Two 60 something year old women! The major square section only took 3 hours to put down over the 25 year old deck. Cutting all the angles we saved for last. It was slower but doable. The main structure of the deck was solid but the stain on the pressure treated wood as well as the wood itself was in poor condition. I was either going to replace all the wood or cover it. I love the new composite deck tiles and how it looks now. It was a great alternative and I saved lots of money by doing it myself. I am very very happy with the results!
These flooring tiles are light weight and easy install. Even my toddler could help me installing it. They have skid free grove and very elegant pattern. It lit up our patio. During these "indoor" times these are good upgrades for families with kids. Kids can play on these floors safely and comfortably.
So happy with how our patio turned out! Can't wait to enjoy it this summer. Super easy to install, just make sure to watch the online video for tips on the best area to start and you'll have no problems. My husband and I were able to get the entire project completed in one afternoon. (Approximately 10ft x 15ft area)
Love these tiles,After retiring as a carpenter self employed for 40 yrs on Long Island.Obviouly as every one says they are easy to install along with time saving .But they are really more appealing an natural to look at then anything else.they made my much older originally stained then painted peeling presure treated deck like new.I installed approx:256 square feet in the opposite tile direction of one another. The thru color matches nearly perfectly with my other composite deck.I have already recomneded to my sons an other carpenter friends.Helios Decking friend forever.
We’ve had this product before that we found on a clearance. We were very happy to find your website & will be ordering more to finish the walk to our front entrance. Easy to install, easy to maintain. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to redo a deck, or whatever, & doesn’t want to hire a contractor to rip out & rebuild a deck.
First off, this looks great and seems sturdy and like it will hold up to the elements. installing is a big wonky though - we have a brand new flat roof and did the border first and then went to fill in…but the pieces shift and twist a bit so it ended up slightly off so I had to redo it a couple times to make it fit just right. In the process, I discovered that there’s an easy way and a difficult way to get them to snap together - when you’re doing rows, try going left to right and right to left. One direction will be easier and the. From there you just snake the rows (RtoL the LtoR) to keep with the “easy” way. If you have an odd or large size space, continually check alignment… Definitely include 5%+ more as some times or snaps will break in transit. It’s unavoidable - so be aware Once done though it looks awesome
