Customer Insights: Rated 4.39/5 from 44 reviews.
It came rolled up and immediately flattened out once the strap was cut. I've had it 2 weeks now, and so far it has not caved in under my 350lbs. Other mats I've tried I ended up with dents that the wheels of my chair would settled into making it hard to smoothly roll around. The trapezoid shape is a bit odd looking if you're used to a rectangular one, but it fits my space well. The mat is clear but sparkly, and I like how it doesn't change the color of my carpet. So far, I'm impressed.
I bought this product based on the reviews. I thought it was a thin chair mat, but it is very thick and durable. It does not sink in the carpet like other mats. My chair slides almost like it does on real floor. The only thing that was confusing was that the box was not well labeled. I thought that they send me the wrong item, but when I opened the box it was the right shape, and better quality than expected. Suggestion: if you are unsure about keeping this product, for whatever reason, do not take it out of the box.
This replaced a vinyl mat that dimpled, hindering movement, and finally started cracking in a major way within the last few months (to be fair I got about 6 years use out of it). No dimpling with this polycarbonate mat (low to medium pile carpet). My chair rolls smoothly even after sitting in the same spot for extended periods, and it just feels more durable. Take heed though, warnings about unstrapping the mat that's been rolled for shipping are not exaggerated. Have plenty of room (maybe outside, certainly away from children and pets), stand as clear as you can at one end of the cylinder and cut the strap with scissors. Even if you're prepared, the force with which this thing springs flat will startle you.
This is the first mat we have had that is worth anything. Your chair doesn't sink and it is absolutely perfect . I would recommend this chairmat to anyone.
I've purchased a few chair mats, but none compares to this polycarbonate mat. I have to admit I was naive in the beginning. I didn't know there was such a difference in materials. The cheap vinyl ones would have been fine for me, but my husband weighs approx 250 lbs. If not for him I would have never known how wonderful polycarbonate is! My chair glides over the mat and there are no dents (from where he sits) to keep dragging me back into. I've had the mat for approx a month and believe me, there would be dents by now if it were vinyl. The mat is crystal clear (which wasn't a requirement for me) and stays that way. I have to say I am more than 100% satisfied with this chair mat. ............................☆☆☆☆☆ 5 Stars!.............................
I absolutely love this mat so far! It comes rolled up in a box, but as soon as you cut the tie (watch out, because the mat almost smacked me from it flinging flat), the mat lies completely flat on the floor. It's very sturdy--I have very plush carpeting and it stays put without sinking/lifting/moving. My 6'3" husband who weighs over 200 pounds has sat/rolled his chair on it and there were no indentations or anything whatsoever. It seriously feels like you're on a hard-surface floor. The "triangle" means that the mat is a trapezoidal shape--wide on one end and narrow on the other. And it's very deep, so I can be an entire arm's length back from my desk and still not roll off the mat. I think it's a fantastic value, considering that other office supply stores have mats for around the same price and they're usually much smaller or of inferior quality. I think it's worth every penny, and if this mat ever needs replacing (which it doesn't seem like it would be any time soon), I would buy the same one again, hands down.
It is perfect.
Although the mat I received is working out fine for the short time that I have had it, I do feel it is not exactly what I would have wanted. I owned a more traditional shaped rectangular mat and expected this 48x60" mat to be larger and thicker. It seems no more thick than my last mat from Costco, and smaller than I expected. It is trapezoidal but it measures less than 48x60. Also, as someone else mentioned, if your carpet is not very thick, this mat is fine. But do not try to put it on anything more plush than basic carpeting since the little spikes that are supposed to hold it in place are too short for thicker carpets. Other than that, I just hope it is durable but have my doubts. Ask me in 4 or 5 years.
this ultimat is supposed to be for medium pile carpets, its better for low because the little spikes in the back are not long enough to dig into the carpet as it should. I have a light weight desk sitting on it and it still slides. The only reason I haven't returned it is because I can't wrestle it back into the box! I would recommend it for low pile carpets with very heavy desk sitting on it.
This mat is very soft and thin. The weight of an empty office chair indents it within minutes. Chair rolls better on carpet than on mat. I assumed that it was rectangular, but it is actually tapered. Totally useless.
