Flowmaster 17234 Cat-back System - Dual Rear Exit - American Thunder - Moderate Sound

FLOWMASTER did their homework, and got it right! This exhaust system fit perfect in my 89 Camaro. The only change I made was with the clamps. I upgraded to SS Strap clamps, this was in case I had to disassemble the exhaust when I install headers, I recommend the strap clamps over U-Blot clamps, the pipes slip in and out much easier if you need to change anything. This kit fit beautifully on my 92 rs 305. If you're looking for something super loud this isnt for you, it's a healthy mixture between drivability and everyone will hear you coming.

There are two systems for third generation f-body cars one has a two and a half inch catalytic pipe and the other has a 3-inch catalytic pipe make sure you know what you have because customer service at Flowmaster is horrible I bought the system for a two and a half inch flanged Outlet my car's catalytic converter turned out to be no good I could not find another catalytic converter for that car with a 2 & a half inch flanged Outlet so I had to buy one with a 3 inch Outlet called Jegs and they referred me to Flowmaster I called Flowmaster looking to buy a 3 inch catalytic pipe that is the only difference between the two systems they absolutely would not sell me one or exchange my 2 & a half inch pipe for the three inch I ended up going to a custom shop and having them make me a 3-inch pipe with a flange for the time and the effort and the money that was spent next time I will go to a custom exhaust shop and have them make me a system for the same amount of money and less aggravation satisfaction is not guaranteed at Jegs

Bought this for my 87 Camaro z28. Install was alright, the pipe was not actually the correct size jegs said it would be to fit my car which caused issues. Had to rig it with the old pipe until I could by 3” pipe to replace the 2.5”.
