Flowmaster 817633 Direct Fit Muffler - 409S - Outlaw Kit - Aggressive Sound

Sound is great! Aggressive for s simple muffler swap. Relatively easy to install. Taking off stock muffler took a lot longer than getting the new one on. Some have complained about supplied clamps. If you take your time an don't rush they work perfectly. Some people just don't know how to work on their vehicles!

I bought this about a month ago for my 2016 Ram 1500 and it arrived on time and It was a fast easy swap to install. Sounds great, deep rumble but doesnt cackle like I thought it it which is a good thing. Lots of compliments!! Overall 10/10 flowmaster and jegs does it again!

Purchased this as a gift for my son's new truck. Price is high for a muffler, but certainly much cheaper than a cat-back system. The RAM factory sport exhaust already looks good, so you really only need the muffler to get the missing sound. It can probably be installed by one person, but it definitely needed both of us to remove it and get the pipes realigned. Even with a new truck, penetrating spray is definitely your friend and should be sprayed liberally on the joints and on the rubber mounts as well. Fit was spot-on. Sound is excellent! Aggressive on acceleration but not something to wake the neighbors at idle. I was worried about droning in the cab, but the exhaust is no louder inside than the knobby tires on the highway. The only drone we experienced is at low speed, when the engine switches to ECO mode, which actually makes it sound like a diesel.

I went back and forth between this and the american thunder muffler for weeks. If you are doing this right now, I am telling you go with the outlaw. It isn't as loud as what I was expecting, and my fear was that it would be obnoxiously loud. Not the case at all. This will give your truck the perfect v8 sound, and when you get on it the thing roars. Sounds amzing, I love it.

20 minute install. It sounds pretty good right after the install and initial drive. Be patient, this is not what this muffler will sound like. A couple heat cycles and it will get deeper and slightly louder. It sounds great after several weeks. Holds its tone under hard acceleration and does not fade out, It is aggressive. I have absolutely no drone. It does have a pretty good idle, mellow. Not obnoxious and overwhelming. It sounds like a typical flow master but overall I am very happy with it and I do recommend it. Fitment is quick, simple and good. Clamps will get you by but I recommend a good set of stepped band clamps.

what a difference from the stock muffler. I went back and forth American Thunder or the Outlaw. Glad I went with the Outlaw. Sounds great starting up and at an idle. Only growls when you step on the gas!! Doesn't rattle your brain on backroads nor the highway.

Stock is a bit of a workout. New one is awesome! Good rumble throughout, low and high rpms. Sounds sick when down shifting, even my wife loves how it sounds. Installed in new 2016 Ram 5.7 Hemi

I'm a handy person, but I know nothing about working on cars. This muffler swap was extremely simple and it sounds absolutely fantastic on my Ram 1500. I bought this about a month ago and I am very pleased with sound that it has given. Installing was fairly easy once i got my old muffler off. The only negative thing i can say about it is the black finish that was put on was peeling off as soon as I pulled it out of the box.
