FlowMonster 11386-Fm FlowMonster 409Ss Oval Case Absorption Muffler

I added this to my 2016 ford explorer Sport as a crossover and had the rear mufflers It helped to open up the exhaust instead of sounding like the exhaust trying to pressurize a straw it added more horse power or torque and helps for pulling a heavy load

I ordered the flowmonster due to the price and due to videos I had watched on youtube featuring the flowmonster. The videos sounded like a more aggressive muffler but not too much. The price was awesome, so I bought it and wanted to try it. It's been on my car for only a few days and versus straight pipes that I had, this was like installing a noise cancellation system instead of a performance muffler. It can be heard, but it's definitely not as noticeable as straight pipes. I would compare this to a Flowmaster Super 50 on a V8 engine. It's just too quiet for me. My car is a twin turbo V6 however, so I have to be a little open minded about things because a V6 of any kind won't sound like a V8. It just won't. I'll most likely remove the Flowmonster in the near future and just go back to straight pipes. There's just not enough sound for me. My back pressure increased however, and I can hear the turbos spool now, but I feel like I've lost a little power and definitely lost sound. Does it sound bad? No. I wouldn't say it sounds bad. I'm saying it's not loud or aggressive as I was hoping for. Would I buy this again? Depends on what type sound I'm looking for I guess. If your looking for something that gives you some sound but not very noticeable, then this is for you. If your looking for noticeable, go with a different muffler or exhaust system.
