Flowtron 1 Acre Electric Insect Killer

I was in hopes that this item would help with mosquitoes. it does great with other flying bugs but does not seem to have helped my mosquito problem at all.

The Flowtron mosquito and fly zapper does a decent job overall and seems effective at reducing bugs in the yard. The 40W bulb is fairly powerful, and it works well for outdoor use in open spaces. Setup is simple and straightforward. However, one drawback is that the power cable is extremely short, which makes placement a bit inconvenient unless you already have an outlet very close by. You'll likely need an extension cord to use it properly. Overall, it's a functional zapper, but the short cord is definitely something to keep in mind before purchasing.

We bought this to replace our old, worn out zapper. The cord is really short, but we made it work by plugging it into our string lights. It is big enough to capture and get rid of the June bugs that have been annoying us. When we leave it on for several hours, we come back to a mound of bug carcasses on the ground and I love that!

This bug zapper is the best! We bought some before that did not last a season, but this one is great. It has a beautiful aqua glow at night that I love. It came a day early and was easy to assemble. Great buy!

The cord is only about one foot long so that’s kinda problematic when it says to plug in at least 25 feet from your home. The “poison” cartridge doesn’t seem very poisonous, so to me it’s just a “bright” light. I was outside for an hour and heard 2 zaps and we had several, and I mean, several mosquitoes. I wouldn’t buy another one for the price.

Awesome. Plugged it in and it started working. I was surprised how it also lit up the whole yard at night with a soft blue light. The bugs in Missouri eat me up . This makes it where I can sit on my porch and enjoy the night air. Not have to go back inside before dark. Love it!

This is my second purchase after owning one for six years. I used it in my backyard to cut down on flying insects and mosquitoes. It took two weeks to notice a difference. I hook it into a timer that activates the bug zapper at night for 4 hours a day to help save on bulb life and electric bill since there is no on and off switch.

This is the best mosquito bug zapper EVER. It kills thousands, hundreds of mosquitos and bugs every day! I had purchased so many different kinds of mosquito trappers before from over $400 to lately over $100 Dyna trap, nothing works!! This Flowtron Zapper is the BEST. I went back to get a 2nd one within a week. One for my front yard and the other for the back Yard. Walmart has the BEST PRICE and THE BEST DELIVERY.

Works great! I don’t know if it actually covers an acre of land as I don’t have that large of a lot. I do however have a double lot. I have only had it a few days but so far very pleased. If anything changes I will update my review otherwise I say it is a well spent $40.00 (ish) dollars!

Go with the Flowtron. Had a model for 20 yrs, never had to replace the bulb. Tossed out because a plastic grid piece broke and I didn't want a bird flying inside. Wide grid allows bugs to drop out. Light is bright enough to attract insects. Bought a Black Flag model; tested for 2 days, it was easily clogged and seemed less durable. Chemical attractant attract mosquitos? Never did know. Go with the flow! JB Chicago
