It is the very best purchase I have made this year, in fact I am going to buy another , the same one. I have had other brans before and they do not hold a candle to this one. It was very very much worth the $60.00. I would recommend it to all of my friends and every one else .

We've had at least 6 other bug zappers that were all pitiful. The last 2 were stolen and I left thank you notes for the thieves. This unit looks and performs so much better than the others that I would class it as an industrial model. I've not seen it on store shelves but it should be. Pay a little more and you'll be glad you did.

I have had one Flowtron 1.5-Acre that I use at the back of my house during insect season for 2 or 3 years. Really kills the insects and still working good. I do take good care of it and only use it when there are lot of insects around. It kills a few mosquitoes but you really must use the mosquitoes attractant for it to work good on them. I purchased this one to use at the front of my house. I paid more at Amazon for the first Flowtron (same size) then I paid for the second one at Walmart.

The faint of heart should place this out of hearing distance. It zaps them all! It seems to have eliminated most flying insects near the house and summoned them from the rest of my acre. I'm getting another for the back half of the property. It may have saved me the cost of screening my porch because of the mosquitoes it eliminates. I was greatly helped by the other positive reviews and after my research on various models was determined to buy this one, although my local Wal-Mart was out. I ordered online and it arrived, free shipping in a couple of days. It is not a danger to bees as they do not come around at night. I examined the large pile of carcasses under it and have yet to see a single insect I will miss. Hung away from the house as the instructions advise, and because of the protective grid, it seems to pose no problems for lizards or geckos. The recommended fragrance lure replacements seem priced a bit high, but my mosquitoes seem to come in droves without it.

Really like the Flowtron 80 watt. I looked at the other brands at the big box stores and decided to pay a little more and get a zapper that is made from an American Company. So far ,it is working perfect. Time will tell how it holds up. I have now ordered 2 additional flowtron 80 watt zappers from Zoro but their employee told me that these are on back order . We needed a new insect killer and wanted one similar to the one we had, yours was the closest with the same watts and the best price we found. Have been using it since it came in the mail. Works great!! Now I'm hoping to get more than one summer out of it, hopefully three or more before the bulbs give out. The last one when the bulbs died so did the unit. From dusk to dawn, it almost completely gets rid of the mosquitos. Even our next door neighbors are impressed that they can now sit out on their deck and not be eaten alive. Our mosquitos have been very bad this year, but the Flowtron Electronic Insect Killer 1.5 Acre has almost completely eliminated the problem.

works excellent, always has a pile of bugs under it. keeps birds fed and keeps mosquitos down. wish it had sensor to turn off at dawn but minor problem for such a good bug zapper. Only been a week but I'm sure happy so far. recommend it if you need a great bug zapper...went from clouds of mosquitos to almost none.

I have had one of these for years and it recently went out. This new one DOES NOT work like the others that I have had. This one does not have the black lights and I don't think it has killed one bug during the entire 4th of July weekend. Tried to call the service number that came with it but its a recorder that says to leave your name and number. Need to return!
