Easy on the ears. Gave my vinyl a new life.

This is the 3rd Fluance Rt83 in the family,my son in law has 1 my grandson has 1 and I've had mine for 6 years now without any issues,absolutely the best!!

We are very impressed with the 83 unit' build & most importantly, it's sound quality on my son's first system (new vinyl lover). He wondered why it was not completely auto - so I explained the trade- off !

I posted a very favorable review when i received turntable. Two updates: 1. I upgradeed to acrylic platter and see improvement 2. I accidently ordered the black. Should have returned it and got the wood. Rhe black is beautiful but shows every bit of dust, fingerprints and microscratches. Unless you really want black...go for the wood.

Jumped back into the vinyl audio game, needed to update my turntable and after much research settled on the RT83 with the Ortofon 2M Red cart. Super pleased, easy setup, produces great audio detail for me at this stage.Plan to try a Ortofon 2M Blue cart someday but really happy with the red so far.Turntable stabilization is pretty remarkable at this price point.Very happy, may even by a second one for my other rig.

Make sure you get the right one for you. I originally ordered the Fluance with the pre-amp wanting to upgrade to the acrylic platter but it isn't possible with that model. I returned it for the RT83. I. Have an inexpensive system for vynal and the RRT83 is overkill with its red cartridge. I mounted a cheap Audio Technical high output cartridge with a conical stylus. My over 50 year collection sounds pristine. The Ortofon 2M Red was weak in the bass and brought out surface noise. A great turntable brings out the best in any cartridge. I am sure the Ortofon. M2 Red will be more appealing as I upgrade my system. I am using the Fluance acrylic platter, it makes a positive difference in sound.

The sound is awesome, but this record player looks nothing like the pictures. In the pictures it looks like high-quality, chic, white-oak and what arrived looked like bright gold cheap plastic.
