Love the new test leads and really enjoy that they also have caps for the tips
Love these leads! Flexible wire is great for cold weather.
These leads are quite long and very flexible, even in cold temps. They are a huge improvement to the previous leads we have used. Low resistance means accurate measurement and we all know how important that is. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable test leads.
Do *NOT* go aftermarket!! We did, they SUCK. This product is the authentic, high quality, original product, and nothing compares. By the time you spend money on knockoffs, and keep replacing them, you are better off spending the money on the fine, original parts.
I have a FLUKE clamp meter that was a few years old and had the test lead fraying and ready to be replaced. These leads felt way better than the original, and I am confident they will let much longer before needing to be replaced again.
No sign of improvement yet, apparently Fluke doesn't want to acknowledge the poor quality of this lead set. I'm still getting fairly new Fluke meters that ship with this lead set returned to my shop with a detached banana plug from the lead connector lodged inside an input jack on the meter.
I work for a calibration lab and I certify a LOT of hand held meters and you'd be amazed at how many sets of TL71s fail to maintain continuity under mild stresses. And by that I mean a slight tug at the connector end or probe end will often be enough to open the circuit but with no pressure applied, they appear to be okay. The other major failure I'm seeing lately is the banana plug separates from inside the guard and ends up lodged into the meter's input jack(s). Poor build quality. Period. Fluke: please do something about this. Just phase it out and start over.
I've seen the bad reviews on these before purchase and said let me give it a shot....I had an old pair of fluke leads that I lost...bought these to replace them. 2nd day my red lead bent after applying small pressure..3rd day I got back Feed from testing a modulating gas valve...I'm so disappointed I can't even begin to explain. I'm going to buy the standard set and hope for the best. If not buy a used older fluke pair like the ones I had...never failed me..after being used and abused...I love or should say (loved) Fluke products..always preferred
I purchased a set of these TL71 leads and they failed after 2 days. The positive banana plug is stuck in the meter, I did not put any strain on the leads. I'm surprised at this since I own several Fluke meters with various lead sets and I've never had a problem before.
After many years of trusting this brand, I can no longer say Fluke is the best. I am switching to Klein tools, very disappointed! I have a Fluke 87 IV, very expensive!!! Paid a lot of money for this meter and after three weeks of use, the leads broke. Fluke you guys need to listen to these customers and change your ways otherwise you're going to go bankrupt. I wasted a lot of money on a new pair... now my fluke 87 just sits on my tool box... very aggravating and annoying
