Fluttering Floral Sheet Cake

I bought this cake in a different form at least 4 times two weeks in advance of my cousin's birthday. It was shown as a beautiful 2 layer cake with all the beautiful butterflies and fairies floating around. It looked perfect. I picked the round cake that was on the website ( we preferred the way it looked than the sheet cake and had far more options) I am so very glad I began this process 2 weeks ahead of her party… I ordered it as desired by my young cousin; Chocolate cake on one level, vanilla cake on the other, strawberry filling, same decorations as shown, frosted with vanilla buttercream type icing. I paid for the cake and figured it was a done deal, just like everything else I buy either in person or online from Walmart. Several days later I received an email stating that the cake I'd ordered had been cancelled due to them not having the ingredients and did I want the sheet cake option. No I did not want the sheet cake option as the cost of a double layer 1/4 sheet cake would almost (and I am NOT exaggerating) cost triple the amount of the round cake they'd canceled. I was additionally infuriated by the way the Bakery Managersspoke to me when I asked to please explain to me what ingredients were missing if they were capable of making the sheet cake version. It seemed to me most bakeries have at least several 8” and/or 9” round cake pans available for use, as well as chocolate, vanilla and strawberry filling with vanilla whipped icing. He became beyond unreasonable at that point and said he didn't even have to speak with me and hung up. I called back and he refused the phone. I called Customer Service who apologized and attempted to assist me ordering the cake wanted from a different location ( I live fairly equidistant to 3 different Walmart Superstores. The exact same thing happened again. I called Customer Service back AGAIN and although they issued me $5 credit it happened yet AGAIN and I was on the line when the Customer Service Agent called the store directly; they put him on hold forever and the Bakery Manager was rude to your customer service representative as well as to me! I have been avoiding writing this review because I was so frustrated by the store bakery managers and Walmart itself for advertising a cake that 3 different Walmart bakeries REFUSED to make. Most of my reviews are positive so you know this was really bad. I wound up putting in a 4th order for the sheet cake. I honestly don't even remember how much it cost or which store it came from. My cousin was happy. I was not. I am still not happy about what occurred as there is still no apology or explanation from 3 of your bakeries. As far as I'm concerned your Bakery Managers exhibited flat out harassment, hateful, unprofessional, unprovoked, aggressive and offensive behavior. It's a shame that I will not buy a cake from Walmart again. Your customer service people were great but they were and are bound by their limitations as well. It's not their fault. It's yours.

The cake and ordering process was great. I was in tears trying to pick it up. The sweetest lady from the meat department was trying to help me but no one was scheduled in the bakery at the time of pick up and I was disappointed bc I ordered, paid and confirmed my pick up. I had to leave without the cake and send my husband later. I bought it for my daughters bday and I had to finish getting her party ready. It was delicious, beautifully decorated and despite the pick up hick up I would order it again.

Not only was the cake beautiful, (many compliments), it tasted great (again, many compliments). I purchased this for a baby shower and people were asking where the cake was from. I will now order all my cakes from Walmart! Ordering process was simple.

I ordered a cake for a retirement dinner party. Most of the detail had been simplified in the icing. The main reason I picked this design were the 3-D butterflies that were missing and the handwriting on the cake was very shaky and unprofessional. I was truly embarrassed to deliver the cake to a friend's party.

Absolutely love this cake! The young lady that prepared and decorated it for me did an amazing job. It came out so very beautiful. Bought it for my daughters birthday and she and my family were so amazed at how beautiful it was. And it tasted so so delicious. Grest amount of strawberry filling, moist chocolate cake, and the whipped icing was the perfect amount of sweetness.

delicious cake was very pretty remembered at last minute id purchased this cake for the same person 2 years prior. and had to add to the design in order to make it look different. but it's pretty as it was purchased so you wont go wrong in buying this one.

The pearl beads were NOT liked by anyone in the party. I was unaware that these hard candies would be placed on the cake. They were much too hard for the elderly and had to be scraped off. There were a lot of them!!! Otherwise the cake was beautiful and delicious.

Cake was BEAUTIFUL!! We used this cake for my daughter's college graduation cake, and it fit her personality well. The taste was delicious, all like it and we especially liked the flavor of the butter creme icing. Will definitely be ordering from Walmart Bakery again!

Upon initial view of the cake something was off. The letters were various sizes it appeared as though there was an error in spelling and they tried their best to correct it with making the letters larger. The cake was missing the butterfly decoration; which was the main reason I choose this cake because my mother loves butterflies.

This is a beautifully designed cake with flowers and butterflies. However, they add these white round "pearl-like" decorative candies all around the entire sides of the cake. They are like tiny jaw breakers! The cake itself is beautiful, and even those little bead candies are pretty.....but they really should eliminate them or use plain white jimmies. We had to scrap off the entire sides of the cake icing in order to serve the cake safely. I wouldn't want anyone to break a tooth, or heaven forbid choke on those!
