Quality at a fair price
Not exactly "soft water" fishing season yet (2/11). Never really "hard water" this winter either!!! So, no "use' info on this review. However, reel is a good looking, well made - smooth operation - with a drag that increases smoothly with no "grabby" tendencies - and construction/design with no weak (i.e.-rivets,etc) areas

Not enough line capacity
I bought the 7-8 size. I wanted to load it with 100 feet of Cortland trolling line plus backing. The line is rated 5-8weight. The reel is too small for the line even without the backing. Also, I prefer to crank with my right hand it doesn't look like it can be converted easily.
