great paint

Erin January 8, 2026

Great metallic paint for an affordable price. The photo shown of the bunny is of two coats on a plaster surface. It's opaque and has a great metallic shine.

Sparkly fuchsia

Dazy March 3, 2022

Gorgeous Plaid FolkArt metallic sparkly fuchsia is beautiful and it's a water-based paint that is so shimmery, vibrant, and sparkly you just have to love it. I was offered the opportunity to test out plaid FolkArt sparkly fuchsia 2oz paint for no charge in exchange for my honest opinion and what a bang for you buck honestly. It arrived quickly and was very well packaged. It holds on your brush beautifully with such a smooth silky spread almost buttery gives you so much control you can either do a couple of coats or give a shimmery shine over another color for layers. It is a water-based acrylic paint that can be applied to a number of different surfaces and many upon many endless projects. I really like how it's sparkles and shimmers in the light but there's no glitter look to it. The sparkly fuchsia color is very vivid with Great pigmentation and I really like the consistency. I have painted with several different types of paints and honestly, most times usually you do need a couple of coats, I do love how it spreads on a canvas or on wood or even glass it is very smooth which is something I like about it the best but lets not to forget the inexpensive price. so I definitely recommend plaid FolkArt sparkly fuchsia acrylic paint, it washes out in water beautifully and it really does dry very nicely. I think you'll like this paint and it's non-toxic.

Project pretty gold

Farmfairy02 April 7, 2022

This gold project paint worked so great with my other colors. This gold color could make some projects glamorous. This paint went on my raw wood project very smoothly, the color was perfect. I would definitely recommend this product for so many projects.

A great paint to have

HomesteadMom March 22, 2022

This is a metallic paint that dries darker than I expected. It was a pleasant surprise because it was so light at first, I thought I'd need to switch paints so I could see it. It's safe for use outdoors, and I can attest to that! I left my project outside for a few days while it rained. I didn't see any dullness or missing paint. It's going to work very well for making signs for my garden this summer!

Beautiful Blue

Darlingcarling1 April 4, 2022

The paint has a beautiful blue color. It is thick enough that you most likely don't need a double coat, which is always nice. Less paint to use means more projects! I will say it's not as metallic as I'd like. It does have a really nice glimmer to it. We use it to paint mini figs and it works perfectly.

beautiful color

Hallie March 12, 2022

I selected a variety of FolkArt Acrylic Paint to work on some art projects. Each bottle is 2 fl ounces. The lid can be twisted off to pour a bunch out or pop the top to squeeze out just a little. The FolkArt Metallic Acrylic Paints that I have used are Midnight Blue and Sparkling Fuchsia. They are water-based and non-toxic. They can be used on all porous surfaces and can be used indoors or outdoors. The directions say to shake well and let the paint dry for 1 hour between coats, though this will vary depending on how thick it is applied. For my projects I used a brush but just to test the colors I first applied them all to white paper using my finger. I was able to wipe my finger clean just using a wet paper towel so clean up is easy (it is always easiest to clean up when the paint is still wet and can be done with soap and water). The metallics do have a nice shine with a beautiful finish to them. The colors are an accurate match to the bottles. They really add something extra to my projects.

Picked five of these for a pourable art project

Walmarterrific March 6, 2022

I picked five of these in coordinating colors to make some horrible art that I'd seen on YouTube. Each container is just the right amount to combine with the others and make a single large canvas. Because they are only 2 oz per bottle they basically are single use for this purpose. The turquoise is quite green. The glitter is just the right amount of sparkle but doesn't look like it has old school glitter just mixed in. It's more sophisticated glitter paint. I picked the metallic bronze one to tie in the wood fixtures of my furniture. I tinted the Navy a little bit lighter with some white. They were all smooth and consistency with no clumps. While it is suggested you shake them the product was consistent in its texture and pourability. I like this brand.

pretty gold paint

MommaSTLMo April 3, 2022

this acrylic gold paint is pretty good. It's shimmery gold when dried. It is a good consistency when wet, so it can give good coverage with each coat. We used it as a detail for my daughter's rock box. It is a warm gold color that has slightly silver shimmery specs in it.

Love this Blue

Farmfairy02 April 6, 2022

This color matched my newly painted wall, and looks great on my project. This paint went on the raw wood smoothly and looked just as pretty as the bottle looked. I would definitely recommend this color, and this brand for your projects. I was very happy how the final result looked.

Bronze medal looks like polished gold to me

Sparky May 28, 2026

It came out more like polished gold than polished bronze to my eye but still made my bird bath project pop with classic glamor.. Was easy to apply using a small sharp art brush even though I am no artist.. I put 2 coats of it on and let it bake on in the cool sun for a day.. The small bottles are hard to shake up to mix so if yours is a bit separated you may have to stir it with something like a popsicle stick.. Good luck getting the last bit of paint out if you are squeezing the bottle, you will have to remove the cap and dip the brush in to get it..
