7 Grain Food for Life is a good chemical, toxin, and folic acid free bread that you keep frozen, so no need to worry about it going bad sitting out. A very similar package, Ezekiel sprouted grain bread, always seems drier and less flavorful than 7 Grain. Other good varieties of this bread are Flax and Sesame. Food For Life is one of the 2 brands of bread that I can actually eat ( the other adds sugar) from Walmart because it doesn't contain folic acid, the synthetic form of folate. Folic acid can be a health issue for people who have the MTHFR mutation. You might want to keep in mind when you're buying foods that are "enriched" that the "enrichment" added to bread is synthetic and therefore, almost all bread in the USA Is chemically enhanced. No nutrition has been stripped from these bread products , and that's why they don't have to be enriched.
Love this in place of white bread or other low bread with flour. It's not for everyone and it must be toast or it won't be a good texture, probably. It should also stay frozen and use md by the slice, as needed. I honestly love it. I assume it has to be healthier than most breads. Many people find that it doesn't push their blood sugars up as much as other bread does. I haven't tested that, each person responds differently to every type of protein and especially carbs.
I eat all of the Ezekiel bread options because they're all delicious. I mainly eat it in the morning, toasted. The reason is, the bread is pretty solid and doesn't make a good sandwich but as toast it's really good. I eat a slice every day.
I had never tried this bread, but I saw an Instagram that it's super healthy. I saw that Walmart carries it was shocked, and I ordered it and it is absolutely delicious! I'm on my second loaf doesn't turn in my tummy,, and it's delicious!!
Love this bread, made from sprouted grains..no flour. I believe this is the healthiest bread available. It is satisfying and does not cause bloating. Highly recommend!
Love this bread and I have IBS, no issues whatsoever! Very happy that Walmart has it on hand and even delivers it too my door!! Thank you Walmart!!
We have to let go of all things filled with soy soy soy in any of its forms! This has zero soy products.
This is the first time I have tried this bread . I find it tastes very different to other breads I have tried. It is very heavy, but at the same time it is the healtiest bread on the market. I'll keep eating it and in time will come to really enjoy it.
This bread was stale and hard as a rock. It cost me too much but I had to throw it out. I think it had previously been frozen. It was horrible for over 7 dollars a loaf Thank you for allowing me a space to complain. Sincerely Gail Karnatz
i order this bread online . it always comes frozen. So I have to keep it in the freezer. If i leave it out to defrost, It molds within a day or two. It is inconvenient to store, and doesn't last long. It is very pricey as well
