Thriving Flies
The media for the flies is perfect for my needs. The flies are thriving.

Best. Media. Ever.
Great stuff. I've tried a number of other brands of media, some from herpetoculture stores that charge an arm and a leg for theirs, but none beat this. It's easy to use, is very resistent to mold, and the flies do great on it. I found a piece of rusty metal in one batch so I docked it a star on quality, but other than that, no issues.

Needs better quality control
I have been purchasing this product for years and have never had an issue: the flies grow well, are healthy, and my frogs remained healthy eating the flies. In this last batch, however, I discovered a sizable piece (approx. 4cm across) of rusty metal in the media. I have no idea if it has adversely affected the media or not. I'm just glad I found it before making a batch.
