Fortessa Bone China Modern Coupe 16 Piece Dinnerware Set

I bought two of these sets in December 2020 and have been using them as our daily dishes ever since. They've held up great (although, only been 6 months). I haven't experienced any scratching or glossy finish washing away (as other reviewers have mentioned). My boyfriend did drop one of the large bowls from the upper cabinet and it broke : ( but that was his fault, not a design flaw. I spent hours and actually two years casually looking for the "perfect" white daily dinnerware. I'm a potter as a side hustle and hobby, but I really wanted a sleek, modern, lightweight, bone china that was timeless, modern, and contemporary. In my beach for the perfect set, I'd love the plates but hate the handle or on the mug I'd love the mugs and plates but hate the profile of the bowl. I'd looked at every store and brand imaginable and took a chance on these and I absolutely LOVE them. They are timeless, modern, and contemporary. My only complaint is that the bowls are huge (like, for a huge breakfast bowl or for a large serving of pasta... like, these bowls are serving size) and I'd really, really love to be able to purchase cereal bowls that go with this set. But, getting the huge serving bowl size with this price is pretty nice. I absolutely LOVE everything else about these and might even buy another set, just in case.

We were looking to invest in great quality dishes and since these were advertised as restaurant grade, we did a lot of research and then we went ahead and got two sets. They've worn really poorly and they squeak so bad, a very annoying sound, like nails on a chalkboard, touching and stacking them makes them squeak. Right out of the box they looked like they had a glossy, shiny coating that's washed off and now they have a dull luster, like foggy and iridescent. . We've washed them by hand and in the dishwasher, with and without rinse aid and nothing makes it better. This is definitely not the quality you'd expect at this price tag and certainly NOT commercial grade, they don't even hold well in a 2-adult home... and we bought them in January, not even 6 months ago. Very frustrating and disappointing. Don't buy these... :( I've taken pictures but it's very hard to show these defects on a picture. I emailed the customer service yesterday and hope to hear back soon with a solution - definitely do not want a replacement of the same product.
