This is a staple for our household every month. I get a couple of these, boil them down, we use the broth for cooking with Jo additional salts like in store bought broth. Then we shred the chicken to use for everything from enchiladas to chicken salad. We add it to some steamed rice with a package of peas and carrots for our dog, which is way better for the pets to eat. No sprayed on flavor for our fur baby
It had been a while since I broiled a whole chicken in the oven So on this one I made up dried herbs and spices and rubbed them in under the skin and in the cavity. I put it in a large black roasting pan Covered And oven at 350 degrees for one and to two hours. When I pulled it out it smelled wonderful and they with. The meat was tender and juicy and the white meat tastes like white meat and the dark meat tastes like dark meat What else could you want. Overall I had a very good meal with this chicken.
At Walmart, I can purchase a Foster Farms Chicken with great value. Foster Farms Fresh and Natural Cage Free Chicken is a very good quality product. At Walmart, and different from other grocery stores, the cost is always low and does not fluctuate. I buy 1 or 2 packages a week.
The whole chicken I ordered today was HUGE , super juicy and tender after cooking , great taste , nothing like the ones I've bought the past several months. The change is great and I certainly hope it holds ....... the change was very noticeable in a good way.
the preparation was easy... it's perfect for a family of 4... the only thing is that it didn't come with cooking instructions, and if you don't know how to cook a whole chicken you need to look it up..it took a little over 2 and a half hours for me at 350 degrees 👍
As a recently converted vegan, I find this foster farm chicken to be a great value and I guess delicious. It's one of the first chickens that I've ever eaten and I've been missing a lot so yeah it gets high ratings and I'll go back and get some other type of of meat to continue this carnivorous journey.
Quality is fine. I have found that when the order is for delivery, the average purchase according to the site is about $6.85, yet, the whole chicken we get is consistently much larger. this one was 40% more expensive than the average cost. I imagine the direction of the pickers is to "upsize" these orders ( a larger ring for the retailer), but honestly, there's only my wife %26 I here, and it's more than we would consume. I grant that this is a bit picky, I am simply passing it along for honest feedback.
I couldn’t even get the chicken out of the grocery bag because as soon as I opened the bag after it was delivered the smell of rank slapped me in the face. There was still 2 days left on the expiration date but there’s no way I was feeding that funk to my family. Idk if the left it out of the freezer/fridge too long or what but it was AWFUL smelling
Full me once, shame on you, full me 5 times, shame on me. These are not 5-5.5 lbs birds, all have been in the 4 lb range. I have brought this grievance to their attention, but nothing is being done about the false advertising. Am losing my faith in you guys and FF. Do better guys.
Usually your chicken is very good. But this one was very tough and didn't taste good at all. I roasted it as I usually do and was very disappointed in how it turned out. I was wondering if anyone else complained.
