Fountain Replacement Pump

Very reliable pump. Lifts water through fountain well. Had Little Giant pumps of same gph that cost double and kept failing with no manufacturer support.

This was exactly what I needed to replace a 10-year-old German made pump, which I had repaired twice. Received the pump in only 3 days without additional shipping cost, as we are close to the warehouse. It is very quiet and works fine lifting water 18 inches at about a 2/3 max. I add petroleum jelly to help seal the light glass (but avoid getting it on the bulb itself).

I have a very small and very beautiful fountain. It must have come with a pump that was more powerful than it needed as I had to fill the fountain 2 times a day to keep up with it. However, I didn't realize that it had anything to do with the pump. We finally had Hurricane Debbie (in Florida) and I didn't go outside or think about it. The pump ran dry and no longer worked. Hurray! Because, I then got this one and it has been perfect. It sometimes takes 2 days before the water level becomes an issue. It creates a lovely sound and is just right.

Our Fountain pump (Micro Jet MC450) failed after many years of use. I tried to replace it but was discontinued. This pump was a perfect replacement, had 2 different outlet sizes one of which fit perfectly. With regular shipping it only took a day to receive it - great service and great pump!

This pump comes with adapters for 3/8 @ 1/4 inch hose, has an easy to adjust flow control on the bottom, and a nice light with o-rings for continuous immersion. It features almost no vibration and plug-in 12 volt adapter with 15' cord. I did replace the 10W halogen (4,000hrs and high heat) with a .3W LED (20,000hrs. and almost no heat). With the halogen it only takes a few seconds out of the water with reimmersion to crack and break the glass envelope. Standard LED bi-pin (15W equivalent warm white) works great. Put a few drops of oil on the o-rings.

Very pleased with the total process; easy site to navigate; fair price; delivered early, and the pump works great! WHO COULD ASK FOR MORE?

Easy to set up. Been in use about 3 weeks now with no issues.

This pump came with a fountain I purchased 3 years ago and it's still working great although it has been outside year round even in winter at -30 temps. My pump does not have the light feature. It automatically shuts off when the water reservoir runs dry or pump becomes clogged so the motor doesn't burn out. Other reviewers gave this pump a bad rating because the water in their fountain or bird bath evaporated or they had to fill their bird bath twice daily. This is not the pumps fault. This pump's capacity is too much for a bird bath at 120 GPM. My fountain is 24" high and holds about 3 gallons of water. The pump handles that height with no problem so keep that in mind when purchasing this pump. I recently brought the fountain inside and the pump does hum which is a bit annoying for an interior water feature but it doesn't overpower the trickling sound of the water. Still I'd like to find a quieter solar powered replacement pump to save energy usage.

Received the pump and it appears to be missing the adjustment lever on the side. I called hayneedle and spoke with a rep. Sent her pictures of pump showing where missing lever should be. She said she'd send pics to the manufacturer. No word yet after two weeks. I'll begin trying to track it down next week. Can't say I'm happy with the transaction.

This product did not have a complete description so I took a chance on it. I reviewed so many products and my past purchases to try and figure out if it would work with what I had. Not knowing, I took the chance and ordered it. well sure enough when I got it, it wasn't the correct one and then I had to go thru the trouble of sending it back, which I couldn't do on my own, like I can't be trusted to print it off my self?
