Awesome product! I have a long haired havenese dog. This is the only brush that keeps his hair from matting.

I have a shedding Labrador retriever, and she needed this brush. I take out at least 3 brush fulls each day (so I don't have to vacuum it off the floor!) I had a similar one before, and broke the handle. Glad to find a replacement that does the trick

This wire brush is 1 of the best out there imo! The wires are soft %26 not too firm: So u don't have to worry ur hurting ur pet, or urself! I can use it on a short or long fur pets. Cats %26 dogs! Tho softer then other wire brushes, it does get the under coat fur out. My feral cats love being brushed now. They all line up 3txs a day just to get brushed. My 12yr old Choc Lab lays right beside them waiting for her turn, lol. Brushing ur pets on a regular bases each day is good in preventing matted fur. Matted fur can be extremely painful for an animal. The mats can rip their skin %26 cause abscesses! Plus, brushing will cut back on the fur around the house; dusting %26 vacuuming esp! This wire brush is gentle on a pets skin too. Tho I don't recommend for kittens, it's great for cats 5months %26 older. Brushing also helps calm ur pet down. I've not had 1 cat or dog dislike this brush yet! I've gone thru a ton of other brushes, by far this is the best for getting the job done. And u can't beat the price; if it's under $8 each! This company does make a larger brush, but the wires are far too harsh. This is the only size wire brush the company makes with gentle wires. I wish the company would make larger gentle brushes, but this one is fine for all size pets. No more stabbing urself trying to clean the fur off the brush either! If ur using a brush that hurts when u stab urself, imagine how that feels on ur pets skin! The fur comes off this brush pretty easily with ur hands. It will help with slight matting-gently workin to detangle fur. On sold mats, U will need to cut the mat in 1/2 with safety scissors, then make 3 cuts inward on the mat, %26 use ur fingers to rub mat apart. Ur pet will get upset, so try %26 do it in stages. Remember, mats down to the skin are extremely painful %26 can rip pets skin. Prevention is key to a happy pet! And this brush used daily will prevent mats from happening!
