This blanket support works very well. I got it specifically to take while traveling because it is lightweight and folds flat, but I like it so much that I replaced the foam blanket lift I've been using with this. The only problem was the paint needed to be scraped away from the inside of the holes for inserting the lift bars - they wouldn't fit at first. This was easy - the paint is soft (rubberized) and I was easily able to remove it by scraping with a screwdriver.
VERY LIGHT but cozy warm cover!
I love my Sheet and Blanket Support! It has really made a difference. I fall asleep so much quicker now because I'm not dealing with the uncomfortable feeling in my feet and lower legs from rubbing up against the sheets. The Sheet and Blanket Support surpassed my expectations and is well worth the money. I highly recommend it.
I sleep in a twin bed with new 14" mattress. I used this riser successfully with my old thinner mattress. It is not sufficient on its own for a 14" mattress. But, i purchased a four-legged stainless steel 30" wide x 12" tall shelf at home depot for $23 (rated 300lbs) and attached this riser to the shelf using gorilla tape. Together they provide a very sturdy non-moving blanket riser for 14" mattress and i am able to fold my comforter & sheets on top.
Love it. I hate pressure on my toes from my sheet and blankets. This raises the sheets and blankets just enough to keep the pressure off me, even when my legs are curled up on my side. One negative was the holes to put the product together were too small. I had to hammer it in, but other than tearing the plastic coating a little, it did not damage the metal. The metal is very strong, which is good. No bending of the product.
This is exactly what I needed! Having neuropathy causes the sheets and blankets to bother my toes. The sheet and blanket lifter raises them just enough so I can sleep with no irritation. Also allows me to sleep with socks on, they dont tangle up the blankets. Wish I got this sooner but it's great now!!
The only thing I don't like is that you can't leave your sheets tucked in. You have to undo the sheets to set it up and undo the sheets to undo it in the morning. Bit it is making my feet very comfortable all night and they don't hurt anymore while sleeping.
Only 4 stars for two reasons, the two 'arms' have to go through the holes in the base, which we believe it's designed to be a tight fit making it a sturdy base which that part is sturdy, two of us could not get them to push through, a third stronger person did accomplish this but it was a struggle for him. The other drawback was the arms are bit flimsy, the weight of the sheet and blanket droop down in the middle and hang on my Mother's swollen, feet and ankles, defeating it's purpose. But as in the pictures with duct tape and the box it came in, I taped it around the arms, the flat box supports, keeping the covers from sagging down on her feet & ankles. She is very comfortable with this, as it's given her relief from the pain she was experiencing and she's able to get in and out of bed without the covers interfering. She would recommend this to anyone who suffers from pain from their covers weighing on their feet and who has someone who can overcome these two obstacles.
The Sheet and blanket Support worked like it it should. We had to tie bread.ties on the bottom for support .
Parts do not fit each other nor assemble. Obviously poorly designed and not tried before selling. Either that, or seller knew it didn't work and sold it anyway
