Foyle's War: The Complete Saga (DVD), Acorn, Drama

Played first disc which started skipping towards the end.

Lower price than anywhere else. Arrived as expected.

Great series, so well acted too. I am thoroughly enjoying it. Historically correct too

We spoke of it often, all the pieces: the tale, the history, the stunning cast, the settings -- and to top off our enthusiasm -- Michel Kitchen as the impeccable, warm, wry, 'Foyle. :-) When I found it in your catalog and my partner's birthday was shortly coming up -- there was no question what he was going to get for his gift -- and we were both OVERJOYED!! You always have such grand GOOD STUFF. I have ordered from you before and have always been thrilled with your catalogues -- and wished I had more money! I absolutely love the series! I could and do watch it over and over. I love British drama and this in particular as, in my opinion, it is very well done. Michael Kitchen is brilliant in his role and makes the show for me me. The entire cast is perfect and whomever put it together should be hallowed forever and ever!!!

3 of the discs didn't work but was told I'd get a refund.

Discs were out of order for all sets, so had to fix that first. A few discs skipped so had to clean them. Did you send me a used/returned set instead of a brand new set? If so, I'm giving them a low rating. The series was excellent but for the price, I wish it had been unused.

The dvd's wouldn't work properly, continuously freezing. This item will be returned unfortunately.

I was told that there was closed captioning (SDH) on the first four series, but there is not. I could not make it work on our blueray. There is closed captioning on the last series. My husband is practically deaf, so this is non-negotiable. The series itself is really good. So sad.
