Always have had good experiences with Fram filters. This one gets the job done, good fit, and long lasting on my VW 2.5L engine. Comes with 2 rubber gaskets but I only needed the larger rubber. Wink
I purchase this filter with years, for oil change, even though it's up to 20k miles, i change every 7k miles max!
FRAM is my brand, no issues, easy to install, even when I go beyond the mileage recommendation...life gets busy.
Product is great quality
Fram makes great filters, this one also includes the rubber seal that goes around the housing. Always replace that seal when changing your oil or you risk a leak. Make sure to purchase the appropriate filter for the type of oil you are using. This filter is made for synthetic oil, therefore it holds up better than the one made for conventional oil. If you try to pinch pennies by buying the cheaper conventional oil filter while using synthetic oil you risk engine damage. These filters are composed of some form of paper that can break down, and if so the material can actually clog up the system blocking oil flow. Also be sure to change your oil at the recommended intervals, because the filter can still deteriorate even if you're using the proper filter. My daughters VW was about 600 miles over the mileage and I saw the filter was already starting to break down, thankfully the material was still in tact. Overall these filters are great, and Walmart always has the best prices. If you're a DIY type of guy buying your oil and filters at Walmart will become routine. Glory to the guy.
good quality good well on my vw pagar 2013
Good product and good price
Can't beet a fram and price
This is regarding the Glen Allen Supercenter (11400 W Broad St). I usually like the idea of pickup for convenience, but this location has given me nothing but headaches. This is now the second time out of three attempts where my check-in was completely dismissed by the staff. I checked in, waited 30 minutes, and no one came out. When I finally went inside to see what was going on, I found the order had been cleared from the screen, and the staff,a group of young kids, were just standing around laughing, completely indifferent to the fact that customers were waiting. To make matters worse, I was finally given my item (an oil filter), and the box was taped up like a return. I opened it right there, and sure enough, the filter gasket was missing. I asked for a replacement. The associate disappeared for 15 minutes only to tell me they were out of stock and offered a refund instead. This happened on Nov 26. I said yes to the refund, and the associate assured me he took care of it. Fast forward to today. I get an email asking me to review the item, I check my bank, and no refund was ever processed. To Walmart Management: I doubt anyone will read this, but you need to know your process at this location is broken. I'm not coming back for my $12 because it's not worth the drive, but you should know you aren't losing customers to prices, you're losing them because we can't trust your team to do the bare minimum. Selling returned items as new and lying about refunds is a serious integrity issue.
