Excellent for all.
I was using a round hoop and a friend recommended the scroll frame. I love it! So much easier when working on a square projects and it keeps your fabric taunt.

Nice quantity for the price.
Just watch out for splinters. They manufacture hasn't sanded them down and I got a hand full of splinters.

Cheap, But Cheaply Made.
I was hopeful for this to work, but unfortunately the slits are very splintered. For a scroll frame to work well, the slits need to be well sanded, and this wasn't. The screws also pop up and come out very easily. Overall, the product was made a little cheaply. If you have the time to sand this, then it would be a good purchase for the price.

Split rail scroll frame - negative
Cheaply made. Wing nuts were stripped. Had to go to a hardware store to replace them.

Edmunds Split Rail Scroll Frame Set
This product is made of very cheap wood. The clasps are too small for the holes and one to many turns the wood splits. I had to use electric tape to fasten each end. Could not return it as it broke in about ten minutes of me putting it together.
