This is a great and simple item to use for finding wall studs. No more tapping the wall for difference in sound guessing if it's the stud and no more drilled holes than necessary.

Excellent stud finder! It shows you the full size of supports under the wall, so you can be sure to put your nail or screw in the middle of your supports and not end up on the edge. The lights all along it are handy and you can see the finder go over studs as the lights glow with the stud.

This was great for a couple of simple jobs! The stud finder effectively found studs in my entryway so that I could hang coat racks and shelves. The multiple lights are really helpful to figure out how wide the stud is and exactly where it starts and ends. One downside is it doesn't find the stud every time, so you have to slide across the wall a few times before it lights up. It never says there is a stud when there isn't though, so that's good!

Great tool for securing items into studs. Will give you electrical warning and help you determine the center of studs. Have you used it on many projects successfully.

Not only is it awesomely priced, but it's extremely easy to use. I'm not a builder or contractor by any means, however the instructions it comes with are very clear and easy to follow. The Lifetime Limited Warranty is definitely a plus!

I have owned numerous stud sensors over the years, but the Sapphire 9000 is by far the best I've ever used. No more guess work - the Sapphire 9000 indicates the middle of the stud as wee as the left and right edges of the stud. Fantastic - I'm really impressed!!

It is fairly accurate and dummy proof. It will not detect water and electricity like some higher end ones. Be watchful of backer boards because it will goof up.

Pros: Easier to identify the center of a stud. Cons: It seems to vary +/- a ¼ inch passing over the same stud multiple times.

I never recieved item ! Box had wax blocks in it ,and no scanner.
