I play roller hockey outdoors on a highly abrasive paved tennis court covered with fiberglass cloth and sand paint. We all use hard asphalt skate wheels. Wooden stick blades wear out in 6 hours. I use the Edge Armour on a carbon fiber ice hockey blade. The Edge Armour slides easily enough across the rink and lasts about 8 hours. I like that my blade is taller than normal height. I use scissors to trim 1/4 inch off the height of the 3 central tabs. It makes the blade faces smoother, the armour stays on better and it saves a little weight. The only downside of the armour is you have to retape the tip and foot almost every shift (using white hockey tape). Once the tape abrades through, the armour can unseat. You have to have a spare stick.

Fun! I have a backup stick for the driveway, but it's so much nicer to be able to use my regular one. I don't even notice that the guard is there when it's on, and it's easy to put on and take off.

Bought for son in law. New to team playing and need equipment. My daughter says he is going to flip....we have our christmas 1/8/22.
