Good paddle for price. It is heavier due to aluminum material used.
Great pickleball rackets I am undefeated at the local courts since I bought these
Great paddles for the money!
Choosing the right paddle, especially when you are a beginner, is strategic, because it will affect how you play and whether you enjoy the game. As a newcomer to the game of Pickleball, I ordered this paddle online, not in person in a store, after my instructor let me try one of her rackets. I soon learned that regulation size pickleball paddles come in three basic shapes based on their dimensions and can be made of different materials. There is also a wide range of prices. You have choose what fits your level of skill, how you like to play, and what you can afford. This paddle is a good choice for me as a beginner, and the cost is reasonable. If this sounds like you, you will probably have no regrets about choosing this racket.
I think it is OK for beginners
I used a Franklin JET aluminum pickleball paddle for a couple of years during which it became my favorite paddle. Unfortunately its handle broke upon smacking the floor when I dove for the ball one day (therefore I subtracted one star). I bought two more of the same paddle as replacements, and they are also working well. I prefer the aluminum paddle for its ability to hit the ball hard and fast. I've tried using lighter-weight paddles, but I appreciate the weight of this paddle because I don't have to put so much effort into hitting the ball (the momentum from some weight helps). It is light enough, however, that I don't notice resistance to maneuvering or wrist fatigue. (It was also my spouse's favorite until she switched to a lighter paddle for the latter reason.) I use a lot of spin in my strokes, and this paddle has done well despite its relatively smooth surface. I've been able to make a pickleball ball curve sideways through the air like a ping-pong ball or, more practically, bounce in a different direction as an opponent tries to return it. With the paddle's hard surface and helpful weight, I am additionally able to vary my strategy by switching to faster returns (hitting harder) as needed. My spouse and I prefer the Franklin Jet aluminum paddle over the other Franklin aluminum paddles (which we also own) because the colors aren't so bright; and, more especially, because the plastic band (securing the grip-wrapping) at the top of the handle is more firmly shrink wrapped. This plastic band tends to loosen and curl as it warms up with use (thermal expansion from the heat of my hand), which becomes annoying if it wasn't sufficiently tight to begin with.
You're buying the paddle only. It doesn't come with balls or a case and that's why I purchased it. We just needed an extra paddle. It's light and great for beginner's
Paddle is sufficient for beginners. Not much better than a wooden paddle. I personally didn't like the metal sound everytime the ball was hit.
Cheap and decent sturdy paddle.
these paddles are way overpriced and should only cost 11-14$ per paddled like they do other places. The only upside about this type of paddle is that its very light, but 7 better of using a wooden or spending a few more bucks getting a halfway decent paddle/paddle set
