My 5 year old nephew has been asking for a beginner's teeball set for a while now ever since he saw his cousin play in a tee ball league, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to pick one up. And to no surprise, this affordable tee ball set is not only durable, but very versatile as well! I love that it can adjust with his height and bat. So while it says 3+, you can trust that this cute set will last for more than a few years. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.
Great gift for my two toddlers! They both love to play outside with it.
No complaints here. I was nervous, based on the reviews I read, that the pop-up feature wouldn't work, but it worked just fine. My 2 & 3 year olds love it!
I was worried that this would be too "kid like" for my 8 yr old when this came in BUT it is awesome!! We don't use the tee ball part of it but how it loads and spits out the ball so that you can hit it is super cool. We had my 8 year old all the way up to my 14 year old playing with this. Love the fact that he can play by himself if no one is around as well. All in all, very pleased with this toy!! Would recommend for kids 10 and under for sure!!!
Purchased for my one year old's first birthday and he absolutely loves it! He literally sleeps with the bat and takes it everywhere lol. We are a baseball family and his big brothers play and daddy is a coach, but I was still shocked that at 1 he gets the concept and actually practices hitting! He puts the ball on the tee and smacks it. Future MLB. I did purchase a sturdier, soft bat for him to use. My big boys, age 12 and 13, like the pop up feature and my one year old is fascinated when they use it with him. Great toy to grow into.
My 2.5 year old son loved this for Christmas! He was able to hit the ball on the first try and thought it was the coolest thing ever! The set is a little light and flimsy so it sometimes falls over if it's barely hit but he doesn't care. All in all I would recommend it!
The product is good overall with a few quirks that I am willing to overlook for the price. Pros: both the teeball setup and the popup work really well. When my son hit the body really hard, completely missing the ball :), the assembly fell apart. This happened several times, but nothing broke, so I am confident in the build quality. The spring action is fun...it makes a whirring sound before it pops the ball and that alone was exciting fun for my son! Cons: the balls are really light. It was windy on the day i played and the ball fell down from the tee at least once in every ten chance. There was no impact to spring action. I would replace the balls with other slightly heavy kiddie baseballs. The bat collapses for storage, but then sometimes i noticed that it collapsed while my son was playing too hard - they need to fix that by having some kind of locking mechanism. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.
works ok for toddlers/preschoolers
Overall, good concept but mediocre design. Putting it together was super simple. I didn't even use the instructions except to clarify user error (the launching mode). My 2 year old was more interested with playing with each item separately (ball, bat, platform). I think this age is a bit too young to understand the concept of baseball, but we'll definitely try when she gets older. But it's still great to get her used to the equipment of the game. The launch pad mode was a bit complicated for her and requires more strength to "spring lock" in place. Then pressing a different button to launch was not naturally understood. Should be the same button to load and lock and release. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.
The balls do not pop up at all. My 25 yr old daughter try it and does not work.
