nice price
affordable. will need the manual to get it up and running. cant just open and start using. reading is fundemental. lol

Franklin translator
This translator was very cheap, compact and somewhat useful. The display window is small and needs a lot of scrolling. Some of the less frequently used vocabulary is missing. The games are fun (hangman and Quizz) to use in your spare time. All in all it's worth what I paid for it.

Set up instructions
The set up instructions are HORRIBLE!!! The print in the instruction book is too small. Also very difficult to follow to get what we want to do...set up local time. It was "reset" several times to start over. But could never understand why it wouldn't come up with what we needed to set the local time. Also the rubber key pad buttons kept sticking. We are NOT happy with this product and we're thinking about returning for full refund. Very poor design!

way too complicated
i'm taking mine back to the store; it's way too complicated to operate. How about a very easy-to-run german/english dictionary? Who needs all the junk on this thing?
