This is similar to the Orowheat whole wheat - only better because Franz is local. I like it because of the smooth texture and the fact that it doesn't get dry and crumbly. There are no seeds or chunky grains in the bread; just some oats sprinkled on top. The flavor is neutral, making it ideal for savory or sweet sandwiches. It's also excellent toasted %26 in a grilled cheese sandwich.

Best when FRESH. Not loaves that have "Best used by " that you receive with only 5 days left. Been on shelf at store. When I was able to walk comfortably, I I always choose a loaf in the back ! Just sayin'.

The quality of the bread as well as incorporating all the nutrients and vitamins via oats is a fantastic combination that is put on display in this specific loaf

Price to pay for taste
This 100% Whole Wheat Bread by Franz does have a wholesome taste, especially toasted. It's almost as good as my homemade bread but way more convenient. Somewhat over priced, even for convenience, though.

Great for sandwiches
This bread tastes great but it does have a slightly gritty texture. Very filling and makes wonderful sandwiches. My husband's favorite is a grilled ham and cheese made with this bread.

Good bread. I wish the slices were a bit thicker ... the bottom crust dries out first. Recommend putting a paper towel in the bread bag, especially if you're freezing it. The paper towel helps keep the bread a fresher.

Franz 100% Whole Wheat Bread
A great taste, not soft or mushy, great flavor. Franz Big Horn Valley 100% Whole Wheat Bread is a good choice and a nice size 24 ounce. Slices are a good thickness.

Average everything
Covering the "Things you might consider in your review" Slices are thin. Crunch doesn't hurt my teeth as with other whole wheat bread. Avocado was not apparent nor was any craving.

it was old, nothing fresh at all about it! it wasn't soft , it was sub par and I wouldn't even use it for French toast, I ended up making croutons out of it
