Ok, so I am writing this review on the freeman pcn65 15 degree 2-1/2 inch coil siding nailer. This is a well made tool. I used it to put siding up on a small storage shed beside our house. It made the job quick and easy. This siding nailer works best around 90 psi, but is designed to operate from 70 - 110 psi. I used a small compressor to operate this tool and it worked great. It weighs around 5 1/2 lbs. The magnesium body makes it nice and light. I also liked the adjustable exhaust. it rotates 360 degrees so you can direct it away from you at any angle you might be using it. The handle is comfortable. It uses all brands of 15 degree siding nails up to 2 1/2 inches. You can adjust the spool for the correct size of nail you are using. The only negative I can even say about this is that it didn't come with a carry case. That would have made this the perfect nailer. It worked perfectly right out of the box. I would recommend this to anyone planning on putting up siding. And it is a great price!
My husband and I have been doing a lot of house work. And we really wanted something to replace the hammer, especially for big jobs, like changing all the fence or redoing the whole bathroom walls and floors. Nailing everything one by one can really take forever with a hammer. But thankfully we got this freeman nailer. It has made everything so easy and way faster. So far we've only using while replacing the fence, but we can already tell the difference is made. I believe it cut down the time it would have taken to do the whole fence with a hammer in half. Also, Freeman is a very good brand, most of their products are really good, effective and mostly right for the price. I believe we used plastic collated nails, however it you can use either wire or plastic collated nails, which for outside is awesome, also loading is easy. I gave this tool 5 stars for excellent because it gets the job done with half the time and half the sweat. It might take a little to get used to and working proper, but once you get the hang of it and know what you are doing, it is extremely easy. This is definitely one of the best additions to our tools ever.
This product arrived quickly and was in perfect condition I got the Freeman Coil Nail Gun Model # PCN65 and this is a nice addition to a tool collection it is light weight at five point five pounds it has a comfort grip handle and it is comfortable and fits your hand very nicely the coil nail gun is compatible with any brand as long as it fifteen degrees collated siding nails pin size range with plastic collation one and a quarter inch to two and a half inch nails and with the wire collation it is one and three quarters inch to two and a half inch nails the magazine capacity is two to four hundred fasteners twelve to thirteen gauge maximum pressure one hundred ten psi pressure range seventy psi to one hundred ten psi requires ten point five SCFM with one hundred fasteners per minute at ninety psi when tool is in use it has firelock to prevent accidental firing when you are using it contact actuation mode for a very fast repetitive nail placement great for replacing a roof it has a magnesium body light weight for extended use it has a three hundred sixty degree adjustable exhaust to direct air away from your face Anodized Aluminum cylinder for longer lasting durability the nail coiler has a plastic cover and I am not sure I like that and how long that will last but it is easy to take off if you need to change all in all I would rather have metal we are using the wire collation with one and three quarter inch nails to put up a wood fence and we have not even made a dent in the amount of fence that we have to put up but this should speed the work up and get it finished this nail gun does not come with a carry case the booklet that comes with this has good instructions and diagrams.

I recently received the PCN65 nailer. It is a great tool for any project I can think of which requires 15-degree coil siding nails. It has an adjustable 360-degree exhaust so that air blows away from your face. I found it to be durable. It has a safety trigger lock and a depth adjust feature which is helpful especially if you have never used this type of nail gun. Since I am a first-time user, it was helpful to have a device that does not scar any work surface. Although all I've completed thus far is a wooden box for my garage rakes, etc., this nailer can be used to install cement siding, fiber concrete siding, decking, fencing, and most anything made from plywood. The nail holder has a multi-position tray which can adjust to hold plastic nails sized from 1-1/4” to 2-1/2”. It is also equipped to utilize wire collated nails from 1-3/4” to 2-1/2”. A great feature is that the nose of the nailer has a magnet to keep the stack of nails in the correct position for firing. The nailer has a clear bucket which makes it easy to check if your nails are well stocked. I was able to grip this nailer easy although I have small hands. It comes with a belt hook and is easy to load which is what everyone would appreciate, especially frequent users. This would make a great gift for any carpenter or do it yourselfer.
The Freeman PCN65 15 Degree 2-1/2 in. Coil Siding Nailer is sturdy and not too heavy for working on nailing projects. I like the coil compartment for storing nails. This allows you to work longer without refilling the nail gun with more nails. The materials, which the Nailer is constructed with are sturdy and heavy duty. So, it should handle the working environment without much trouble. I have an upcoming fencing project that I will be using the Nailer on to close in my back yard. Like I said the weight of the Nailer is not so heavy that it will tire me out quickly. At least I don't think. The rugged construction should make it through my Do It Yourself project. I have tested out the trigging mechanism an it fired nicely on some old wood beams that I had and there were no issues. I just need to get a feel for the depth adjustment. I think once I have that all figured out it won't be an issue. Thus far I would recommend this Nailer because of the overall construction of the Nailer and the convenience of having the coil nail loading magazine. I am sure it will work as well as those other Nailer that were ranging from three hundred dollars in the local home improvement store.
The gun was super easy to get started. The gun was super easy to load and get started on a solo hardie siding project. It only took a few test fires to figure out the correct air pressure needed to properly fix nails. The fact that it accepts both wire and plastic coalated nails is a super bonus because most guns are specific. Great product, just a few misfires but mostly from operator error. Highly recommend this siding gun to my fellow weekend warriors.
I bought this nailer because my old one was broken and I decided to build myself a new garage. If I was a full-time home builder I would purchase a more expensive name brand but for the once in awhile carpenter or DIY guy this one is great. Yes it has a toucher trigger, yes it jams once in awhile and yes it is worth every penny. It has saved me time and the pain of using a hammer to hang osb and siding. I have not regretted buying this nailer one time.
The Freeman Coil Siding Nailer looks and feels well made. At first glance, it appears very similar to its much more expensive brethren. But it has some serious limitations. The lightweight construction makes it easy to use on the job. It comes in just a hair under six pounds. But that also means that lighter weight materials have been used in the construction. There are a number of other reviews that note failures on the job. Many of those are from people using the nailer professionally. I have serious doubts about how long this would last on job site. On the other hand, it is well suited for the do it yourselfer. I cannot see spending twice or three times as much for something that will only see occasional use. The nailer uses standard 15 degree coils that you can find at about any home improvement center. The see through cover allows you to keep track of how soon you will need to reload the magazine. I tried a one handed load in an attempt to simulate a real world ladder top situation. That was a miserable failure, but that is fairly typical of most similar nailers. Lastly, the trigger lock works way better than it needs to, I guess if you have curious kids around that is a benefit. Maybe not so much for those of use that know better than to let kids hang around loaded nailers of any kind. Overall, the Freeman Coil Siding Nailer is a decent product for home use. As long as you are not counting on this as your primary daily use siding nailer I would recommend picking one up.
I can review this tool other than based on looks since I have not used it. The tool is very nice looking and not too heavy. My only concern so far would be the plastic nail cover. It does not look very rugged. I like the fact it has a 7 year warranty out of the box.
