I was putting in some 1/2" engineered hardwood flooring and needed a flooring stapler that shot 1 1/4" staples with a 1/4" crown. All the local rental places i could find only rented out ones that used nails or 1/2" crown staples. They also rented for $25-$35/ day. I was doing this project after work each day so I knew I would need it for at least 3 days so it would start to get costly. It checked the internet and Walmart made my day! Seriously? An angled flooring stapler for $75? I was also in somewhat of a time crunch so I splurged for 2 day shipping for the $13. I bought the staples from my local Menards home store. Everything worked perfectly. I did need to spend a few minutes adjusting the stapler to my flooring height to get it to shoot correctly and it took me a few shots on some scrap to know how to best use it since it was my first time with one. I only had one "accidental" shot into the top of the flooring when I was trying to go too fast and did not make sure the gun was in the right spot. Once I set the gun on floor and slid it up to the flooring I never had another mistake. Now I have my own flooring stapler for any other project and I can take the angled attachment off and have another Brad nailer too(I already had one. Maybe I will even sell that one) I love that this stapler is small like a Brad nailer too. It was able to staple my very first row of flooring because of its smaller size.
Well packaged, the box it comes in makes a good enough case. Worked flawlessly installing 100+ square feet of engineered hardwood flooring. All around good stapler and nailer. Not a single misfire or jam. Well worth the price
The product arrived very quickly and was in perfect condition I got the Freeman PFBC940 four in one eighteen gauge one and three quarter inch mini flooring gun brad nail /stapler and flooring brad nail/stapler combo it weighs four pounds very light for the hands and wrist it has a comfort grip handle for comfort and control making it easier to get more of the job done the magazine capacity is one hundred eighteen gauge maximum pressure is one hundred ten psi and pressure range seventy psi to one hundred ten psi the fastener length range for brad nails is five eighths to one and five eights and are compatible with all eighteen gauge brad nails and staples the three hundred sixty degree it has an adjustable exhaust so you can direct the air away from your face oil free design for less maintenance air filter keeps interior components free of debris extending the tools life ergonomically engineered body rugged and comfortable resulting in a light weight tool great for extended use adjustable depth is easily adjustable for various applications air consumption one point seven six SCFM with one hundred fasteners per minute at ninety psi never carry this tool with a finger on the trigger the tool is able to fire a fastener turn the tool so that the air inlet is facing up place two or three drops of pneumatic fastening tool oil into the air inlet DO not use detergent oils oil additives or air tool oils because these lubricants will cause accelerated wear to the seals and bumpers in the tool resulting in poor tool performance and frequent tool maintenance use only a clean clothe to clean the tool cleaners and chemicals can damage the plastic parts we used the half inch staples to put up some chicken on top of the wood fence to keep our cats in the yard and this stapler made it very easy and quick but we still have a lot more fence to put up before we can finish with the wire we have not yet done any flooring but we did try the tool on a piece of wood and we are satisfied with the results it worked out very well it has a reload indicator to give you advanced notice to reload the fasteners to prevent dry firing the plates are easy to change and plan to get a lot of use this spring and summer this stapler/nail gun does not come with a carry case so I will try to find one that is a good fit to try keeping it clean.
This is a good floor nailer. It works well, for what it's designed to do, 1/4 --1/2" flooring. But, it's versatile enough to Be a Stapler and a Brad nailer , too! So, it can do several jobs, all by Itself. I like the design and balance. Then, even though, Its lightweight, it It will work well, for around the House Projects, in The Shop, or on the Job.
FREEMAN MODEL: PFBC940 FLOORING NAILER, BRAD NAILER, STAPLER For a 4-in-1 this little floor nailer, brad nailer, and stapler combo is really great. I call it small because I'm 6'7” tall and it's a nice fit in my hand and is the perfect size to be using on doing hardwood floors, plus about any staple job around the house you might have. It's a great little nailer and will go as fast as you can. The actual size is really good on hardwood floors as you can move it or put it anywhere you like and it'll be out of your way, also compared to other nail guns that are massively heavy and huge this one is great. The professional model would last anyone a great while and with a 7 year limited warranty freeman is pretty serious about their equipment, very few if any will give you more than a year on products if that. The attachment for the flooring is adjustable and super easy to adjust, in a little under a minute you can be nailing no matter the size or angles of your hardwood. OVERALL: I would recommend this for the price for the handyman and around the house uses. At $104 price point I believe it will make a great addition to anyone's collection of useful tools. Quality and ease of use to me is the greatest selling point of this 4-n-1 nailer, stapler, brad nailer, and flooring nailer. I do believe it's built to last a long time, and if you are using in a home setting for projects it will last a major long time. So happy nailing and I hope this helps.
My husband really likes the Freeman professional 18 GA. 4in1 mini flooring nailer stapler and brad nailer stapler combo. His favorite thing about it he says sets it off better than other nail guns he has used is that it comes with an angler attachment that makes it a lot easier to nail, move around and is much easier on the hand. He says it seems very well made too. It has an adjustable exhaust that allows user to direct air from the face which is another thing he likes about it. This nail gun is going to be what he uses to lay the hardwood floor in the second floor of our home. He is looking forward to getting started on that project more so now that he has this nail gun to help him do it.
With this Freeman 4 in 1 Mini Flooring Gun you cannot go wrong. I took it over to a friends house yesterday that so he could teach me how to use it, and we ended up making a shelf from some old wood he had lying around in his shed. Let it be known, this gun doesn't come with staples. This was the very first time I have ever used a flooring gun, and I can say it's, easy, fun, and knowing how to use a nail gun is a great skill to learn. The back of the gun has a pivot so that way you can keep the air flow away from your face when firing the staples or nails into your project or workplace. The nose in the front of the gun switches out so you can change from brad nails or the staples you need to use for your current job your doing. The gun is built in such a way that you only need add a very small amount of machine oil, and thankfully, they provide you with a small bottle that will take some time to run out of. I believe it says it's built into a sealed system. A good feature on this gun is the a depth adjuster knob to help you fire the staples in such a way it that they line up with the grain of your wood or plywood board. After firing the gun, the staple sits at a larger or smaller angle, that is, more upright or more level with the horizontal line of whatever you are working with. Another great feature of the flooring gun: when you fire the staple into the wood, it fires it in straight, but the staple curves it downward. You have the look of a straight shot but you have the stability of a curved shot. Very nice! I highly recommend this floor gun to anyone, professionals and non-professionals, or anyone who is into DIY home renovation projects. It's easy to learn to use, and its easy to use, but make sure you have an air compressor first.
I received this product from the WalMart Spark Reviewer Program. I have hard wood flooring throughout my house and needed to replace some areas. This flooring gun worked well in my project but do not know if it would last to do a whole house. This is a mini gun after all. Works well for small projects. This gun also doubles as a brad nailer/stapler. Lightweight which made it easy for me to use. Nice addition to my tool set.
so far do good.
This is our first time doing flooring, we are doing smaller projects for starters. This is one nice and easy to understand nail gun. We just needed a compressor and right sized nails to work with. As I mentioned its our first time, so for learning process we didn't wanted to over spend, we found budget friendly but great nail gun. I'm not a handy person, my husband is and he is very happy with it. So far no complaints
