Freeman Pneumatic Brad Nailer & Micro Pinner Finish Kit with Canvas Bag and Nails

In reviewing this Freeman PPPBRCK Finishing and Trim Nailer 2-Tool Combo Kit, I have noticed that they seem to be of very good quality and have a solid sturdy feel to them. They also come with a nice sturdy storage bag. Although I haven't used them except for the purpose of reviewing and excitement, I picked them because I believe they are perfect for some home projects I have, but I can say that so far...no jams, pretty light weight, and a lot of nice features for the value. They fire smoothly. There are so many uses, like crown molding and baseboard installation, doing crafts such as making picture frames, window frames etc...and I plan on using them for all of the above. The guns are both light weight and comfortable to use. There is a safety lock of course, and an anti-dust cap to keep internal components dust and debris free. I would recommend them, and I am sure any one who buys them, will not be disappointed!

This two piece set is light yet surprisingly made of all metal parts. Fits great in the hand with nice balance and this helps with muscles stress. We used these to put new doors in and install molding around the casing. The brads went in nicely recessed with the depth adjustment. There is a really nice mar resistant tip. I ran my hand over the moldings and it was smooth. I could hardly find where I nailed them in. Not one miss fire or a jam. If there is a jam there is a latch or easy access opening on the front of the larger nailer that quickly ejects the jammed brad. When inserting brads, there is an adjustable slide lock on the smaller one for each size brad. Love this setup many extras like belt clips and a adjustable exhaust cap to direct the air away from your face. It comes with two boxes of brads and a nice sturdy case to store and carry your twin set in. These look, feel and work like more expensive professional tools. This set also comes with a vile of oil which is nice to keep this set working great and hex keys for adjustments. Built to last.

This kit by Freeman contains a 23 gauge pin nailer and a 18 gauge finish nailer. First the pin nailer drives 1/2 to 1 inch long pins(headless nails) to hold small pieces and trim until the glue dries. The depth the pin is driven is determined by the psi of air pressure from your compressor. Depending on the length of the pin and the hardness of the wood usually between 60 and 100 psi. As with most pin nailers the only way to keep it from misfiring is to manually apply the stop to the trigger. If you pull the trigger with the stop off and the nailer not against wood the gun will fire. As with all serious tools, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. The finish nailer drives a variety of 18 gauge finish nails from 3/8 inches to 2 inches in length. You can regulate the the depth the nail is driven by the psi coming from your compressor or by a dial on the nail gun. It also has a safety feature that it will not fire unless the tip of the nailer is firmly against the piece of wood to be nailed. If it jams it has a quick release feature to open the gun to clear the jam. This is a great feature that I have not had to use yet. I wish some of my other nailers had this feature. I have driven over 50 nails with both of these nailers and not a single jam. Both of these nailers are quality products at a very reasonable price that I would recommend for woodworking. This was a very well made tool set one was a 18 gauge 2 in. brad nailer, and the other was a 23 gauge 1 in. micro pinner. Both tools were easy to load and to use. These are air tools with a 7 year limited warranty.This kit also includes a carrying bag. My husband used these tools and said were high quality tools.

I received my Freeman PPPBRCK FInishing and Trim Nailer 2-Tool Combo Kit about 2 weeks ago now and I must say I'm trilled I picked this Combo Kit. We're still in the process of remodeling our home and we were in need of a Nailer and a Pinner. The Freeman Combo Kit comes with 23 GA. 1" Micro Pinner, 18 GA. 2" Brad Nailer, a Carrying Bag and other parts in the Combo Kit. The items that don't come with Combo Kit are the 1.) Nails and 2.) Air Compressor these items are sold separately. In the manuals provided they will explane to you what type of Air Compressor you need for these items and the nail size you need for each items. The Brad Nailer weight is only 2.91 lbs and the Micro Pinner weight is 2.10lbs. So these are not your regural big size Nailer or Pnner you see either on TV or at your department stores, but they can be dangerous if not used the correct way, so please follow your Manuals for safety measures. This Combo Kit is perfect for anyone who's not into big tools or who want to finish projects around your home. It would make the prefect gift for anyone...

If you're a Do-It-Yourselfer, and have an air compressor, you NEED these tools! It is so much easier than trying to nail the trim down with nails and a hammer. You'll have no blood blisters from hitting your finger with the hammer when trying to hit these tiny nails, not to mention the lack of dents in the wood trim from the hammer too, so the job will look more professional too!! The heads of the tiny nails are so small that you could use pre-finished trim and hot have to go back and fill the holes from countersinking the nail heads! These nails are almost invisible! You might have to play with the air pressure to have the nails flush with the top of the wood you're nailing down, so practice on a sample before nailing down the final product. I have no idea what they sell for at WalMart because they sent them to me to use and evaluate for free, but I would imagine that they are a good value like everything else at WalMart. While these tools might not be for everyone, if you have the need for them, I would highly recommend them!

LOVE my new Freeman nailer! I had to quit using my nephew's generic nailer because it was just too heavy and I have a nerve injury in my hand now that just won't let me hold onto his heavy one. This one was supposed to be lighter weight, so I hoped that was true when I ordered it. Turns out that's true, as when i picked it up I realized that was true. It's great! I'm an "older" woman, so almost all hydraulic tools are almost too heavy for me! Husband makes fun of me all the time. But this nailer is compact and easy and I had no trouble attaching it to the hose and compressor and had it working on the trim in our bathroom-in-progress nailing up the trim (see picture; nailer used for top nail; regular nail and hammer used for bottom). Had all the trim up, in fact, in under 30 minutes! Did not have one jam! Can't say that about any other nailer I've ever used. I did not have to use the depth adjustment at all; the adjustment it came on was just fine. The sound was very quiet, didn't have to use earplugs or anything, and I'm usually very sensitive to sound. It was very easy to load, no issues there. The case is actually very nice, an added bonus. All in all, an extremely good buy and an excellent combo kit to have around. Nice that they included the oil, too, and the two-inch and one-inch nails, as actually all I had around at the time were one and a half and I did need the two-inch to complete this project. Love this little nail gun and surely will have years of good service out of it!

This two tool combo kit includes a Freeman 18 gauge 2" brad nailer and a Freeman Micro Pinner that uses 23 gauge pins. The brad nailer, PBR50Q, comes with 1000 2" brads but can use 3/8", UP TO 2". Both tools require an air compressor that can maintain air pressures between 60 psi minimum and 100 psi. The Micro Pinner PP123, comes with 1000 one inch pins (direction shown) but can use 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" , 7/8" and 1". Terrific for small crafts and projects. The Pinner and brad nailer are small , intuitive, lightweight and easy to use and load. Both tools have decals reflecting the required air pressures and brads/pin sizes. Pneumatic tool oil and three assorted Allen wrenches are included. Dust caps and 1/4" air connectors are already on the tools. Both tools have a nice trigger and nice quality look and feel. The Pinner has a fixed exhaust while the brad nailer exhaust is adjustable. A very nice addition to any shop.

I don't have a massive amount of experience with finishing and or pin nailers. I did perform the initial oiling instructions with the included oil before I operated either one of these two guns. The instructions stated to add three drops of oil to each gun before using. Then after cycling several times for each one, I installed the included nails and pins respectively. With various types of test wood and moldings, I started with the finishing nail gun. It was very quiet to operate and very smooth. I like the fact that it is absolutely non marring to the surface of which you're using it on. I also like the fact that the driven depth is adjustable. Very smooth and quiet indeed. Next, I tried the pin nailer. It too is very quiet and smooth. I noticed it does leave small dimple marks on the wood. When you press it firmly against the wood as I think you should, it does leave little dimple marks. But if you barely press it against the wood and fire it, it leaves virtually no mark. I tested both of these guns carefully because I have several baseboards to install in my home and I want to be well versed before using either one of these for thin floor baseboards. After using both of them, I think I will use the pin nailer being that these boards are quite thin, maybe a half an inch deep if that. I can't see anyone being disappointed with either one of these especially after seeing what Walmart's price is for this pair of nail / pin guns. They come with a soft sided carrying case, air oil, a thousand finish nails and a thousand pin nails.

This kit comes with everything necessary to begin finish nailing work. The trim nailer takes nails up to 2" for a great variety of trim attachments. It's easy to load and ready to go right to work. The pin nailer is great for detail work and leaves an almost unseen penetration. Both nailers are easy to load and comfortable to use. The nice additional features are the included carrying bag and the belt hook to keep the nailer at hand. Very nice entry level finish nailers.
