My family really enjoyed this bread. We used it to make BLTs. Some of us like our bread toasted and some of us like it right out of the bag! The bread was delicious both ways. This bread is soft, and has a fluffy texture. It tasted and felt fresh. It was delicious toasted. It became crisp without hard edges and the inside of the bread remained fluffy and soft. I highly recommend trying this. Affordable on a family budget.

Freihofer's Italian Bread continues to remain my go-to bread when grocery shopping. I have tried cheaper-priced brands, Freihofer's other bread items, and more expensive brands that were on sale. However, none come close to this particular item. It toasts the best of all breads as it does not get hard on the edges when toasting, and it is soft for sandwiches. The flavor of the bread is just right, good substantial texture, but not too thick, dense, or gummy tasting. The seeded version of this exact bread is also very good, but hard to find. Do not hesitate to purchase this bread.
