This is my favorite sugar free ketchup and it tastes great. Love it.
We bought this ketchup because our kids don't need the added sugar, but they will pull apart a hamburger bun, lick the ketchup off the inside, and leave the burger behind like it's a piece of trash. Well now they can do that and we don't have to feel as guilty about it.
I only buy French's condiments since they support Canadian farmers. I found this while browsing in a speciaty store and bought it on a whim. It's actually great! Tastes almost identical to regular ketchup, and I've started putting it on everything. The only downside is that it's hard to find in my area (the specialty store has run out and doesn't know when they can get it in stock again). Keep up the great work, French's!
I didn't know about this new flavour until I saw it on the store shelf. I like the idea of having a "no sugar added" ketchup. I first though it would say sweetened with aspartame, which I wouldn't have bought. Happy to see that it is sweetened with a Stevia extract. Tried it out twice already, and I'm not a big ketchup user. Once on french fries, and once on meatloaf. Passed the taste test with flying colours. In fact, I like it better than the Original French's Ketchup. Way to go French's, and very pleased you are using Canadian tomatoes!
Dear French Canada, please please make this available at Walmarts and CANADIAN STORES I am unable to find them in stores and need to order off amazon but the price is more expensive and I would love to buy a case instead of always ordering it online. Why is it so hard to find. If it be easy to find it would be a 5*
The idea of a sugar free ketchup is great for those who require less sugar in their diets. The problem is selecting the correct sweetener. Personally, I am not a fan of Stevia sweeteners as the flavour is not there. I would highly recommend releasing a Gourmet Ketchup with Monk Fruit as the sweetener as this is much tastier and better. I make it myself and it is delicious. French's are you up for the challenge of releasing one?
is it possible to make a ketchup with no surgar or sweetner, or would it taste horrible?
We love French's so I was excited to try the no sugar added ketchup. However, my family does not care for it at all. The stevia is too overpowering and adds a taste that takes away from a true ketchup flavour. It's not for us. As much as I hate to waste, we had to throw it out.
This is so gross, taste 5x more sweet that regular. I just assumed it would be less sweet. I feel lied to. The front label says nothing about stevia. It overpowers and ruins everything you put it on, threw it out.
The flavour is overly and cloyingly sweet, and seems to be an excess of stevia. I appreciate the no sugar and the natural source sweetener, however it's an excess particularly for consumers who are actively reducing sugar intake and are no longer desensitized to the sweetness of sugar and sugar laden foods. Would not recommend. Had to throw it out.
