I bought this banana with no expectations. I am a fool. This was not just a banana. This was a journey. Upon first contact, the banana arrived wearing a tasteful yellow coat with subtle green undertones.. bold, yet humble. Not too flashy. Not overripe. It clearly knows who it is. The curvature was ergonomic, as if designed by Apple, but for fruit. Steve Jobs would have approved. The peel came off with a satisfying shhhk, like it wanted to be eaten. No resistance. No drama. A team player. Inside? Perfection. Creamy. Smooth. The texture was somewhere between “comfort food” and “emotional support.” I briefly considered calling my mother to tell her I loved her. Flavor-wise, this banana understood the assignment. Sweet, but not braggy. Mild, but not boring. It didn’t try to be a strawberry. It didn’t pretend to be a mango. It stood confidently in its banana truth. Rare these days. I ate it standing in my kitchen, staring out the window, contemplating my life choices. Halfway through, I realized I had forgotten all my problems. Student loans? Gone. Responsibilities? Temporarily irrelevant. World events? Not my concern while this banana exists. No weird brown spots. No betrayal in the final bite. Consistent from start to finish.. something I wish I could say about most people I’ve dated. After consumption, I felt nourished. Centered. Slightly superior to anyone who has not yet eaten a Walmart banana today. I am now considering buying more bananas and starting a weekly ritual. In conclusion, if you are on the fence about purchasing this banana, take the leap. This banana will not fix your life, but it will hold your hand while you spiral, and honestly, that’s all I ask from produce. Would recommend to friends, family, enemies, and anyone who has ever felt misunderstood. 🍌 10/10. Would peel again.
This banana exceeded all expectations. Perfectly yellow, zero brown spots—honestly, it looked like it had been hand-selected by a grocery store angel. I ate it in under 30 seconds and have no regrets. If all bananas were this good, I’d probably be a much healthier person. Highly recommend.
Bought a bunch from Walmart and honestly? They deserve a raise. Came in perfectly green-ish yellow, ripened like they were following a textbook, and didn’t turn brown in 2 seconds like other grocery store bananas do. 10/10 potassium sticks. Would peel again.
it is a 50-50 chance you end up getting a decent bunch of banannas. Most times the ones I have received were nice and yellow with some green.(which is the way I buy them and like them. and then there are several times when they come ready for the trash IMO. I have them like 2/3 days and they are to brown for my liking and I end up throwing them away! so its a gamble....
Every single time I get bananas, there's one with a huge bruise and another one that's ripped its skin already. They are super mushy and they go bad very quickly. I don't understand why the shoppers don't grab a bunch of bananas that aren't bruised or browning. Maybe a group of bananas that are still mildly green. I really dislike buying bananas here because they're bruised and gross. Bad thing is, I'll have to order more bananas soon. I think I will start investigating the bananas before I leave from the online pickup area. I'm not taking anymore bruised or brown bananas!!!!!
Whoever picked the bananas for my pickup order gave me the greenest bananas I've ever seen it took them more than a week to ripen so we could eat them. My husband ended up stopping at another store to get some yellow ones we could actually eat. I do appreciate they weren't spotted tho
I would give you a zero if I could, my apples %26 bananas completely ruined %26 rotten. I feel just because I choose to use your free pickup service, I DO NOT deserve inferior or completely inedible food. Food tastes too much to buy it for the birds to eat.
Ill have to report the employees picking orders should be better trained on choosing produce for online ordering. They should pick like they would for themselves. Every order delivered with bananas are always black and bruised often time having to toss the bunch.
All 7 of the bananas that I ordered were brown and bruised. I am quite confident a person would pick these bananas unless they were using them for baking. I can't figure out why a shopper would get them for me. I would think the produce manager should have pulled them from the shelf Just so you know I brought my groceries in immediately so the browning was not due to me leaving them in the cold. To say the least, I am very disappointed.
Half of the bananas I receive either have black center syndrom or they have that fungus and I have to throw them out half of what I get. The good ones are mush in less than a week. It is so frustrating! I try not to order them from Walmart when I can avoid it because the ones I get from another grocery are always better. We get bananas weekly, so it has been a hassle.
