Squeeze that Lemon

Kellynn December 1, 2025

It’s a lemon. Lemons are a good source of vitamin C and dietary fiber. Scientific name: Citrus limon. Origin: Evidence suggests lemons originated in northeastern India during the first millennium BC. The tart juice and zesty rind are used to add flavor to a wide variety of dishes. They are a key ingredient in lemonade and are often used to flavor water, tea, and other beverages. Lemons are used in marinades, dressings, sauces, and baked goods. Slices of lemon are a common garnish for fish, meat, and drinks. In addition lemon peel and juice are used in some cleaning products, soaps, and detergents. The fragrant blossoms and leaves are used in wreaths and bouquets.

Kings River 👍🏼

Marilyn June 9, 2025

June 5th order, they provided HUGE, delicious KINGS RIVER lemons. OMG! I ended up literally eating 1/2 of the 1st one I sliced, like an apple ... peels and all. I've never had it seen such beautiful lemons. 🤞🏼 Hopefully that brand will become the standard here locally.

Lemon Joy

Monica June 18, 2026

There's some food items I always keep on hand throughout the year, and fresh Lemons are one of them. These lemons are bursting with fragrance and flavor. The "seedless" variety are great for squeezing directly into prepared foods, just prior to serving, without worrying about seeds escaping with the juice. I particularly enjoy adding some lively essence from the rind as well. It's one thing for the tongue to taste the sour, but when the sense of smell kicks in and identifies the lemon from its fragrant oils, there's no mistaking it for vinegar.

Pucker up

Joanna May 16, 2026

Sometimes, sometimes there are big yellow juicy lemons to be had. then there are your golf balls. 80% of my groceries are delivered so it's luck of the draw for me. But either way they are very good judging them by their juiciness. Once and blue moon I'll get one that is subpar. Too expensive.

Tips to pick the right lemon

sara May 20, 2026

Make sure you pick these properly. Larger doesn't necessarily mean better. They should be heavy for their size, which means there is plenty of juice. A perfect, ripe lemon will feel noticeably heavy for its size, have a smooth, thin skin with a slight give when squeezed, and feature a bright, vibrant yellow color with no green spots

Driver spoke no English. He didnt follow directions to the side door, because he couldn't read English. Too many heavy items were placed in the bags. My raspberries were mush and started to mold the very next day. This tells me my order was bagged and then sat unrefridgerated for a period of time. I had requested (2) Xtra Large Eggs. I was charged for (2) , but only received (1) Xtra Large and (1) Large. Walmart did refund me for the raspberries %26 eggs. Why is Walmart hiring driver's that speak no English ? And, how are they getting driver's licenses ? It's really hit or miss with Walmart orders, but the refund policy is good, when there is an issue.

Fresh lemons rip-off

Reinier December 15, 2025

I ordered six lemons @ .60 each. Oddly, I received a total variation of sizes, the smallest one being the size of a key-lime! If the lemons aren't similar in size, why are the associates picking such drastic size differences for the same price per lemon?! I definitely won't be ordering fresh lemons from Walmart anymore - it was a total rip-off paying 60¢ per lemon to begin with, considering how small they were, but then to throw in a key-lime sized one, that's ridiculous! 👎 I didn't even think to take pictures, because I so seldomly do reviews. However, I will definitely include pictures of the super under-ripe (green) russet potatoes I got when I submit that review.

lisa July 5, 2026

This is my third time ordering lemons and I have been very disappointed. The lemons have been severely bruised. And discolored. I'm not happy with the level of care shown to the quality of this item. And this is not the first time this is the third time that I have received lemons that had to go into the garbage. I will no longer buy lemons from Walmart unless I can hand pick them myself very disappointed with this product.

Unavailable lemons

macy July 16, 2026

How can lemons be not available for a pick up but going in the store, there's a whole bin of lemons as soon as you go in the produce department? That goes to show that whoever is supposed to grab that item was just lazy and didn't even go to the produce department.
