Did you know Cara Cara oranges carry a higher nutritional value than navel oranges? Occasionally switch them out for blood oranges. Although the health benefits vary blood oranges “contain powerful antioxidants(high levels of anthocyanin) that support heart health and reduce inflammation. On the other hand, Cara Cara oranges have more vitamin C and A than navels and contain the powerful antioxidant lycopene.” I juice them in an immune boosting blend.
3 lb bag of sweet Cara Cara navel oranges from USA. Great price. All firm and large. My husband prefers these, says they are sweeter and do not irritate his stomach like others. NOTE: in pictures Walmart Cara Cara oranges are on right. Left single orange from a different store I included to show size difference. We received 4 oranges.
This is my top 10 favorite item to purchase at Walmart! They are delicious every single time never rotten and they last forever !!!!! I know cuties and mandarins are super popular but it’s always a towing cost on whether they taste consistent. It’s like as a grab bag. You never know what you’re gonna get. So that’s why I love these and I love how sweet they are. I absolutely love sour things. It’s not always that sour. It depends on the season, but it has a sweeter taste. That’s consistent and I can stash them in the fridge for a while and I have to worry about it . I hope you put yours in the fridge most of the time it will keep them longer and it taste better, I swear. You better buy these… we don’t want you getting scurvy….aaaarrgggg matey!
Different Walmarts sell different brands, either the Pink Orange from Sunkist or another that says Cara Cara in a red bar. The ones from Sunkist are consistently unsweet and a disappointment. The others are much better, and what a Cara Cara orange should be.
I have bought these numerous times Every time I think “maybe this time they would be better!!! But NO!!! They are sour Not sweet a bit !!!! Most times they are really hard and ‘not ripe’ while others are mushy and ‘Over ripe’!!! This will be The last time I buy them!! I guess I will pay $ .80 cents for a lone navel orange!!! And only get vitamin C elsewhere ……🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
I ordered this and it only had three oranges in it and one of them was rotten. I don’t have time to go to the store. There’s a reason I order online. I would expect that the person picking my food is looking to make sure it’s not rotten.. That was a disappointment.
The oranges were the size of grapefruits and the interior was more like the interior of a pomegranate except that the individual pulp pieces were dry and flavorless. I've had these oranges before when they were properly grown. they were the size of a normal orange and while they had the texture of a grapefruit they tasted like an orange. these tasted like air
When I opened this bag of Cara Cara oranges I noticed the external skin on the oranges was unusual dry. When I was separating the oranges, I noticed the oranges in the center appeared spoiled. At least 4-5 of the oranges were spoiling. I’m attaching images.
Terrible quality! I ordered through Walmart pick up and the oranges were rotten and brown. These should have been taken off the shelf and definitely not given to a customer.
These oranges are unlike any other cara cara oranges I have ever had. The cara cara oranges in the last bag I had were much smaller, very sweet, and absolutely delicious . There were 6-8 oranges in the bag. This bag had 3 oranges, and they were as big as softballs. They were not as red as cara cara oranges and were sour. They were more like grapefruit. I believe they were mislabeled.
