My favorite way to have celery!

Jo August 3, 2025

I love celery sticks with peanut butter as a snack...YUM! The celery hearts are already trimmed for this (with some small leaves and tiny segments of very small stalks attached to those leaves, but I like to eat those as they are), and the combination with the Adam's Chunky PNB is perfect! I can easily eat them as a meal when I'm looking for a light meal...

Select the Best…Please

Sherman June 18, 2025

We usually order our celery as shown. We like the convenience of having just the ‘heart’ of the celery vs the entire stalk. So much is wasted when cleaning and ‘stringing’ entire stalks a much of the celery goes to waste. With celery hearts, stringing removes very little of the stalk. Only 3-stars because on occasion the individual shopping the order doesn’t select the freshest or best looking product. There have been times we’ve received items that are rotten or spoiled.

Please help!

Margaret September 21, 2025

I have been using Walmart delivery for a very long time. I have been very happy until the last 2 deliveries. All of a sudden the delivery person has decided to leave my groceries in front of my garage door instead of my front door. As a result my dairy products were left in the extreme heat for almost an hour and I had to ask for a rebate. Rebates were no problem but that is not a solution I prefer. I now don't have the products and need to shop again. I didn't expect it to happen a second time but it did and now Im leery to order from my Walmart store again. What can I do to prevent this from happening again.?

I don’t know what

GrannyBelle October 31, 2025

Don’t know what is happening to Walmart produce. Recent bad experiences with grapes, watermelon, %26 now celery. When I started to open celery I noticed one stalk looked really bad, actually rotting., but one bad outside spear that could have been damaged in packaging I could afford to do without. I opened the package %26 pulled out the first bunch %26 started separating stalks. I lost almost all of it one stalk after another. I pulled the second bunch it was better but a lost over half of it. Even when I tried to cut out bad places %26 destring stalks I found the the inner strings running through the stalks were in most were brown even though that did not always show on the outside of the stalk. By the time I finished going through the second %26 combined what I had been able to save I had about 4 complete good mature stalks %26 bits %26 pieces of others %26 maybe 4-5 s all inner stalks that were healthy. In all I salvaged about maybe half a bunch out of 2 bunches of celery in the package. If I had been able to go in %26 time to select the celery myself, I would have rejected that 2-bunches package just upon seeing the first bad stalk through the wrapper. However, I am not blaming the Walmart shopper who picked up the package for me. Kids don’t always know much about checking packages out %26 also just looking at the outside of the package no other problems were visible. Besides the young shoppers that I see when I am physically able to go in are always shopping for what appears to be 3 or 4 orders at a time %26 rushing to meet the needed time restrictions. I believe these young people overall do a wonderful job %26 I am thankful for them even if occasionally an item is somehow erased from my computer list which I double check against what I have on my written list against what I have actually entered into Walmart’s computer before placing the final order. In the case of all the recent problems with produce, I blame Walmart’s produce suppliers. When Walmart first opened in Beckley, WV, many years ago, their produce was so much better than the produce in other stores. It even appeared to have been cleaned before packaging, not even dirt between things like the celery stalks. Now Walmart is getting produce that is no where near its previous standards. I love Walmart %26 don’t want to see it continue to be less superior than what it used to be in its produce section %26 have to be so often now disappointed even sometimes when I am able to make a short visit inside myself to select the produce. Please make closer inspections of what is being sent to you. Open a package or two frequently, plug an occasional supposedly seedless watermelon, try a few supposedly seedless red grapes, look for produce cleanliness. What those types of inspections may cost you now I think will save you bundles in the future from losing customers who just find it easier to go elsewhere than to spend time writing reviews they figure will probably do no good anyway.

Produce from Walmart is consistently poor quality and now if I receive something delivered via Walmart I am being instructed to physically return it to the store? Walmart specifically says that someone will return and pick it up, so why am I being told that I have to take it back to a store?

Each order I order celery hearts. Most every time I throw out part of the celery because it is not good. This order I got the organic celery hearts, too my surprise some of one stark was rotten. Needless too say I have returned it . I will not buy celery again from Walmart. HMJ

This is the second time this item has been substituted for regular celery stalks and both times it has arrived already bad. I think maybe it’s getting frozen and then defrosting and causing the stalks to sour. I am having to get just enough for my recipe and throw it away.

Very disappointed just opened up the package that I received today. The ends are very brown. Starting to wonder if you're choosing the back room stock for sale that's getting ready to be tossed three items I received on my Sunday delivery are all trash.

rotten produce

anonymous September 8, 2025

Ordering produce online appears to be a crap-shoot. Sometimes it's good. Other times the produce is in the early stages of rotting. This time, it was rotting, slimy, and gross. I didn't take photos, I just tossed it and reminded myself to not order produce for curbside pick-up from Walmart.
