I got this doll for myself because she was on clearance and she was created by an African American doll designer.

Nice doll line. The doll is not the same size as a standard Barbie so most of your Barbie clothes won't fit the bottom half. She is more the size of a curvy Barbie but with a larger head.

There's a lot wrong with this doll. If she hadn't been $6 on clearance, I'd be more upset. She feels cheap. Light, hollow, poor textures, poorly done eyes, poor hair texture. I was disappointed the skirt and top were actually a one piece dress. The white part feels extremely unpleasant to me and attracted every piece of lint and cat fur in a 300 mile radius instantly. It's gonna become a skirt and top shortly, but the top is headed for the trash! The skin tone on her face doesn't even match her body. However, I like her. Somehow. I'll probably repaint her face to fix her eyes and try blend it to her body color better. Her hair may not be the best quality, but it's a gorgeous color. Her face-up may be heavy handed and graceless but her face sculpt is truly lovely. Her articulation is subpar but at least she has it. Posable wrists and ankles and some rotation in the legs would be nice, but she's not a total stick. For those reasons, I'm keeping her. She's like a great idea that was poorly executed, poor dear. Parents, this doll will probably not hold up that well and if your child has sensory issues, that dress might be a really unpleasant experience. The hair is iffy. It being shorter is it's saving grace but it'll tangle fast. Bonus though, her and classic Barbie can share clothes and shoes!

the doll doesn't appear as pictured the skin is actually a little more dull in person one arm does not move it has to stay in a 90° angle. the hair does not come styles as seen in the picture it looks to be cut. the photos are more vibrant than doll itself in person. it has potential to be a great doll if the other arm was articulated. a the tone was appropriately refected in person
