I got these apples on sale so they are definitely worth the money. They are crisp and sweet and go great whole, cooked or with toppings like peanut butter, cheese, dipping sauces like caramel. The have a nice crispness and are the perfect size for sharing or eating all on your own.
Envy apples are even better than Red Delicious with just the right amount of sweetness %26 crispness. You can cut it up into chunks, pour a mixture of water %26 lemon on it, draining the liquid, %26 it will keep a few days in the refrigerator in a glass covered bowl. No waste if you cannot eat one in a sitting.
I get almost all my groceries thru the pick up system at Walmart. I order online and then drive up to walmart and someone thats very kind comes out and puts my groceries in my car. So far they pick fruits and veggies just as i do and its working out great.
I will say this is the best tasting apple I've ever eaten. I bought it on a day WM was out of Fuji and Gala. It cost a little more which is why I've avoided it. But after trying it, I'm hooked! To me, it has the most genuine 'apple' taste of all apples, plus the crispness and sweetness that make an apple perfect.
Been looking forThea good apple for months. most are too dry or not tasty, too mushy, no good tasting flesh. Tried the Envy and knew I had come across the apple i ha ve been looking delicious, crispy, juicy, i will buy ss long as they are available
Envy apples are my favorite, but only once in 5 orders have I received good apples. Usually they are rotting within 3 days and I have to throw out half my delivery order or all of them. Not sure if this is a problem with the delivery shopping service or the apples they stock.
The one apple I "used" had a bite or two edible. I don't know exactly what I got because a couple of the apples had no sticker, one had a squished sticker and a couple had incorrect stickers. I know what each kind I get looks like, so know the difference. Picture (taken July 25) shows the one apple that was "used", the good, the ad, and the ugly - peels are not in picture.
Great apples, but don't rely on Walmarts pickers for these. Go buy them yourself in person. I got apples that had gashes, enormous bruises and looked like they had been thrown on the ground. Real disappointed that a picker would think a customer would be happy with that.
I am not sure if Walmart associates did my shopping or a third party (personal shopper) or Uber driver) but the apples that selected is not at it's best. Bruised, a decent size apple, once peeled, bruised brown spots all over. I had to peel deep to get rid of those bruised, and ended up with a very tiny apple. I wish Walmart take more care in their delivery selection. If I were to shop, I would not select these subpar apples, and I expect shoppers to select on my behalf would do the same.
The shopper Aldo was the same person who delivered the order, the apples ordered were 4 envy apples with remarks” do not replace, either he did my comply with the order or just didn’t care, the same thing happened with the 2 white nectarines, th remarks read , if unavailable replace with white peaches, he disregarded instructions and shopped very haphazardly, and also half the icecream , leaked into the delivery bag, not acceptable!!!!!!!
