These were delicious! And big. And crunchy and juicy, too. One thing I do not like is a soft apple and when I saw the price for the Honeycrisp, which is my favorite, I decided to try somethin new so I got these here and brother, I was not disappointed. Willa could only eat half of hers so she wrapped it and kept it in the fridge till later and it was still good, only a little brown around the edges.
Apples were part of an order that was delivered. All the apples were bruised/damaged and/or did not look appealing. I ordered Fuji apples and one of them was a Cosmic Crisp apple. I would hope that when Walmart is doing my produce shopping for me, the shopper is selecting the best produce. If the produce does not look fresh or is old, I would prefer that Walmart or the shopper contact me to see if I still want to buy it and/or select a different item. Sometimes the produce is good and sometimes it is not so good when I have my groceries delivered.
i love fuji apples, however, lately they have not been in the best condition and have had a "chemical" taste to them. Its been hard to stay consistent with any of them at this point. So we havent purchased any in awhile. maybe as the summer goes on things will improve but its been hard to buy these especially through pick up in store because the shoppers have been throwing "bad apples" in your stuff. I feel like i have to comb through most of my things before even leaving the parking lot because of this same reason and we don't live close.
The apples were bruised and somewhat aged. So it does not appeal to the eye for just biting in, rather because of the spoiled area, a person would need to cut into the apple to make sure you are not getting a rotten apple. Also, I ordered "Red delicious" and got "Pink lady". I do understand that you maybe working with what you have available, but please don't send anything that maybe rotten on the inside. Just leave it off the list. Thank you.
Most of the time--like 98%--they give me the pale, tasteless Fuji apples. Every once in a while, they carry the Rice brand Fujis, which are always crispy, delicious, and extremely sweet. Please stick with the Rice brand, as the other brands are bland, soggy, and tasteless.
If I had actually received the Fuji apples I paid for I might have skipped this bad review. Instead of Fuji apples I received Gala apples. One of the apples has a large gash and severe bruising on one side. It is inedible. This is not the first time I've received the wrong or damaged produce from this store. I think I might have learned my lesson after this and will never order produce from WM again.
Got a delivery order and in addition to a bad head of lettuce we received 2 Fuji apples with brown rot started. This time we see much poorer quality produce than normal..Quality control needs to look into this. Was it to being in short on workers that someone didn't cull out the bad items, were they delivered with quality issues, etc....Something is out of whack this time and makes me consider alternate grocery sources. Food costs have been come crazy!! Also looking at growing much more of our own.
This is the reorder of the April 25th. This time I ordered 4 Fugi apples. I got 1 Fugi apple and one of every other apple you had in stock the stickers were on them. But I got only 1 Fugi. I only eat Fugi . Except I bake with only Granny Smith. I do certain things with different brands. Please refund my money. I would appreciate a refund of my money for this transaction. I shop with Walmart because I appreciated the quality of your transactions. Now not so much…
If Walmart actually gave me Fuji apples when I ordered them, I might be able to give them a better rating. This is the 4th time I have been given a less-expensive apple but charged the more expensive Fuji price. Fuji are currently $1.32/lb. I received, for that price, Red Delicious apples that are priced at $0.74/lb. Please stop switching the products.
I very much disliked getting 8 gala apples instead of 4 fugi apples I ordered. just plain lazy picker. my Walmart is in Sanford, Maine and their pickers are far superior. I was just appointed in the quality of all of my produce items not your store. And receiving ice cream. completely melted and leaking out of the carton was unacceptable along with other missing items
