Garlic is the most important festival for me and I eat it roll to make me lose weight. This is very good for losing weight. I make sure I buy this all the time. It’s very tasty. You can make garlic bread with this garlic and it’s incredible. Very good garlic! Very fresh and kept a long time in the fridge. Delicious flavor and nice large cloves.
This garlic in the sleeve was incredibly fresh. I used to have a hard time eating garlic until I started roasting it. Roasting makes the flavor softer, deeper, and slightly sweet, and now I use it often. It adds richness to almost any dish — soups, vegetables, sauces, or even spread on bread. To roast garlic, cut off the top of the bulb, place it on a sheet pan, and drizzle with olive oil. Roast until soft, then let it cool. You can pick out the cloves with a fork and squeeze out the rest. The flavor is mild and delicious, not sharp like raw garlic. Fresh garlic like this makes a big difference, and I will buy it again.
I am absolutely religious about keeping fresh garlic on hand. Spice world is always good quality and I don't always get that at other stores. I've had bad experiences, buying garlic and shallots from other places. Walmart never has failed me like more expensive grocery stores.
The garlic arrived neatly packaged and clean. Unfortunately, a significant portion of the bulbs had already sprouted inside, by the time I opened them. While I appreciate the care taken in packaging, I had hoped for fresher garlic since I was purchasing it for immediate use. Overall, the presentation was good, but the freshness did not meet my expectations.
The garlic is NOT fresh. it seems as though with delivery the preparers give you items that are not of the best quality. Unbelievable!!! They need to look at the pictures on the website. My choices were based on that. I hate returning stuff. Please retrain your employees who pick our items. They do not represent Walmart in the best way. Maybe its just that store.
For one thing, the garlic in this "sleeve" sprouted green shoots rather quickly. My major complaint and reason I won't buy it again, is that it's a lot of work, takes a lot of time, to peel and chop a bunch of very small cloves; I prefer to peel and chop ONE clove of garlic rather than several small ones.
I’ve been having a lot of problems with the quality of Walmart’s items. I used the delivery with this order. The person that picked this item did not check for the quality. The garlic was old and off color. There should be better quality control for pick up and delivery.
all 3 were black and moldy. like as if the person shopping couldnt see they werent edible. all fresh items i order from Walmart come rotten. green beans, little oranges, tomatoes. my 5lbs of potatoes was also black mold. o swear walmart tells them to pick the worst stuff because we arnt going to return a few dollars because its more time then anything. win won for walmart they get to sell the rotten product and get paid. do better Walmart.
Only three small bulbs, with cloves so tiny that once they are peeled, there's so little usable garlic that trying to use them in a recipe simply is not worth the effort. I'll buy individual bulbs next time, or else I'll buy pre-peeled cloves, use what I need, then place leftover cloves in an airtight container and frozen. Yes, frozen garlic cloves keep for a long while and work well in recipes.
This garlic is “usually” good, but the Walmart Associate shopper picked out one that was old, dried, and broken-up to put in my pick-up order rather than pull them off the shelf.
