Yum! This was my first time trying this golden melon and it was delicious! It's like a mix between a honeydew and a cantaloupe if you haven't had it before. I thought the texture was great, it smells amazing, and it was absolutely delicious chilled. It would make a very refreshing drink too! Give it a try!
Sooo sweet and soo cripsy. The only thing i couldnt do was tell the difference between the rind and the fruit itself since it was all entirely the same color inside. But has a very cantaloupe and honeydew flavor its delicious for the size in my opinion is a but pricey but the flavor sweetness and texture was all out perfect and refreshing.
This is one of my favorite melons. I first saw yellow melons when I visited our neighborhood Walmart years ago and have bought them ever since. However, this last online order, the melon that was delivered was damaged on one end and appeared to be rotting...very disappointing.
I'm giving this item a three star review because I received the wrong substituted item. My original order was for cantaloupe with substitution of another variety of cantaloupe. Instead, I received this melon at a much higher cost than either of the original choices. Wrong item delivered wrong item no no i'm giving this item a three star review because I received the wrong substituted item. Wrong item delivered !
i really don't think the Walmart employees know the difference between a honeydew melon and a golden honeydew because they have me this very small honeydew with green skin on it instead of a golden honeydew that has a golden yellow skin. so sad.....
I asked for a golden melon, and I received a honey dew melon, plus it looks like it might be going bad it looks brown their at the core. they are not the same thing and they didn't not have the same taste, I do not like HONEYDEW MELONS,, , the shoppers need to pay more attention to what they are suppose to be getting.. I sent a picture of the green melon not yellow, plus the sicker on it saying what it is and the tip, stem area that's saying it's might be rotten...
I was looking forward to trying a golden(yellow) honeydew when all I received was a regular (green) honeydew instead. I double-checked my order. There was no substitute made for that item. I've also read other reviews that say the same happened to theirs.
This fruit is a hit and miss, both quality and availability wise. Sometimes it's ripe and sweet, sometimes it's before its prime, maybe in stock, maybe out, you have to select a substitute when ordering, as you expect a very unreliable and unpredictable supply.
The selectors/pickers, need to know the difference between a Golden Melon and a Honeydew Melon. I have received the wrong Melon 3x now I wanted. Golden Melon, but keep getting a Honeydew, not what i purchased. Please advise your pickers where the Golden melons are located in the produce area. For I do know when they are stocked. Please educate your pickers, in the produce area, to have the knowledge to tell the difference fruits and vegetables so they don't select the wrong items and send them to your customers. thank you.
This was horrible. It was smelly and mushy. Once I cut it open it was so soft I could push my finger down to the rind. It smelled like old garbage. It was delivered along with some nectarines that were the size of a golf ball and hard as a rock. Walmart did a return for the nectarines but not the golden melon. They told me I had to bring to store. I'm not driving 15 miles both ways for a melon. I've decided to stop buying rotten produce from Walmart instead. Problem solved. Everyone should refuse to buy their produce until they start seeking fresh. I'm in California. There should be absolutely no good reason why any store in CA should have rotten produce. Last week they delivered berries covered in mold. I'm done praying and hoping every time I shop that I will have decent food delivered.
