This kale is good quality, better than another brand I have bought at Walmart which had discoloring parts (those clear-ish hard part on the leaves). It works great in scrambled eggs when cooked on the side and then tossed in with the other veggies near the end. Great color too and this bag had no wilted pieces.
This big bag of pre-chopped kale is a total staple in my house. It’s super convenient—no washing or chopping—and it actually stays fresh way longer than I expected. It tastes great, I throw it into soups all the time, and honestly I’ll even just blanch it and eat it like that. Easy, healthy, and always on hand.
Your Organic Kale offerings are the main reason I shop at Walmart, but I REALLY like the Tri Kale mix and it's a rare day now, that I can find it. Keep carrying healthy choices and I'll keep shopping. The Marketside trio bagged thick cut cabbage is also a favorite.
WP Rawl Farms Kale was very fresh, and stayed fresh throughout my weeklong plant-based cleanse. I used in smoothies and salads. That its pre-washed and chopped, was a huge help. A plant-based cleanse takes a lot of prep work; washing the produce, then chopping, slicing and dicing. I needed a lot of it, so the 1 lb bagged was perfect!
This very large bag of Kale arrived very fresh and crisp. I use this Kale for several purposes: 1) I use it just like lettuce because it has more nutrients and flavor. 2) I cut it up very finely and also use it like it was Parsley in recipes. * Note: 1) This Kale needs to be chopped finely because it has center stalks in it. 2) It has an "acquired taste." It does have a rather strong taste, however I am used to Kale and I enjoy the taste. 3) This is a HUGE BAG of Kale! After I make salads, etc, I get the air out of the bag and seal it tightly with rubber bands, and it lasts longer that way and stays fresh and crisp.
Each time I order for this product it always have a spoilt rotten egg smell even before opening the bag and then sometimes they deliver it about to expire. The supplier needs to be checked cause something is not right about it and after this last deliver I’m never buying it from Walmart
If I could give this product minus 10 Stars I would! Even though a lot of bagged produce says that it's pre-washed I wash it anyway, and I'm sure glad that I did because I found a huge beetle/roach kind of bug that was half the size of my thumb in it so of course I threw the rest of it out because I wasn't going to go searching for more bugs! And I realize bugs can be in there because kale is grown in dirt but that was absolutely disgusting! I've only bought this product once and I can guarantee I won't ever buy it again!
The quality of the produce that comes out even known it’s not expired. It’s like wet and smelly like why is it bad? Did somebody leave it unrefrigerated for a long time when they were driving around or in the store but I work in food distribution and it should not look like that
The past several deliveries, this item has delivered with the bag, looking, kinda like tattered old, worn the produce is closer to expiration date by your day or so, or either is like drying out or stale initially, when I first started ordering it, it was always fresh. the packaging was clear. This looks like it’s been sitting in boxes somewhere for a while Then they want you to bring it back into the store to return it or want me to call in to talk to someone just not doing all of the extra steps but normally it was great lately. It’s been a little bit old. This order delivery was supposed to be delivered between 7 and 9 AM and didn’t arrive until 12 with multiple missing items.
They gave me one that expired the next day and is brown! Expiration date is for 12/24/25, this is how the 2nd time they given me old produce! Now I have to do another run to Walmart on Christmas Eve!
