What I like about this particular lettuce is that the leaves are always crisp. I was raised on iceberg lettuce and I don't remember it as having this attribute. This lettuce is easy to work with too, rinsing the leaves and draining them are much easier. What impresses me the most is how long it stays fresh in the refrigerator. This lettuce also has essential vitamins that you don't find in iceberg lettuce. If I am remembering correctly, when my mother was on the weight watcher diet the iceberg lettuce was labeled as "free food". So you could fill yourself up with it but there was no significant value attached to it . Try it, you'll like it.
i was able to pick this out for myself at the store after using delivery for my groceries and getting a bad head of lettuce i was forced to go to store and buy it for myself. i wont choose to use delivery for my fruit and vegetables anymore. my entire order of all fruits and vegetables were awful and i lost a bunch of money! not happy because i have a limited income and feel very ripped off.
It came kind of wilted. It is not an order filler's job to keep decent-quality produce. Produce and fruit need quality control measures like "secret shoppers". "Secret shoppers" could help overall department quality. Stores in a region could compete for high ratings. They could win pizza, money, awards (whatever) over other locations.
The lettuce came almost 90 percent wilted and soft and limp. The person who selected it for my pick up order did not ensure a quality lettuce. I would have preferred the substitute selection if the lettuce was this terrible. I felt it is now a waste of my money spent.
Lettuce it shouldn’t be Libby cannot make a salad with lettuce. I had to throw over half the head away. I am in a wheelchair and cannot leave my house and depend on your deliveries. I would appreciate it next time if somebody would give me fresh produce.
the shopper picked up the smallest head of lettuce I've ever seen. I will now have to go back and buy another head of lettuce to have enough for a family meal! if this was by the pound, I'd be fine... but nope... it's the same price no matter the puny size!
I have been shopping with Walmart for a long time and I have been reasonably satisfied, but today, October 12, 2025, I received lettuce that was harvested in California on September 30, 2025, and the outer leaves were dark and wilted. I had to throw them out. I am not satisfied with this product. I am considering changing grocery stores because lately I have been receiving poor quality produce from Walmart. This is my second review today from the same order due to poor quality. I am aware of many other competitors, but I would like to stay with Walmart if they would hire dependable shoppers.
I mean this is just ridiculous. it's clear this lettuce is no good. why would you deliver that? Just mark as unavailable. why is that even out on the floor to sell? and you're doing it to multiple customers by the looks of these reviews. what kind of garbage company sells produce like this? it's one thing to have it on the floor for people to come in and buy. it's a whole other thing to deliver that to people who need it and can't get more without spending another $35 absolutely unacceptable. shameful behavior. If you have walmart plus they are supposed to bring forgotten items and replace items like this. it might not be until the next day but it's better than nothing. if they refuse ask for the store manager or district manager's number. that was the whole selling point for plus was that they could fix mistakes like that by sending the right stuff out.
It wasn’t the lettuce I ordered and it was completely rotten. You could see it through the bag. I’ve been getting rotten potatoes that you could smell. Now the employee can’t see either. Disgusting. Are you sending food out of your throw away bin?? Are your employees blind and have no sense of smell? I know corporate would be embarrassed of this way of representing Walmart. You should too.
I order my groceries to be delivered in home! Love the service but have found that lettuces end up frozen on the bottom few layers! As I am sure you know that frozen lettuce turns dark and becomes limp and slimy when thawed. And lettuce is not eaten in frozen form. I don’t know what they are doing to the lettuce to get it frozen. 🤮
