This makes a great healthy snack on the go. Most wouldn't consider eating it raw, but it is just as healthy raw as it is cooked as a side dish or in soups. I eat it while it still has its crispness and is fresh from the store. A great way to teach your children more healthy snacking than just eating foods like these at the dinner table. It's crispy, and crunchy, just like chips and crackers. Sprinkle with ranch seasoning, not dressing, and you have a winner. (I don't need it, but others may.)
The one I picked out was superb, but the one I got with store pick up was not only dry on end but the tops were slimy. I took photo to customer service for a refund. It would have been a 5 star but pick up was so bad.
Asparagus was wilted already. Not fresh at all. Walmart tends to regularly sell wilted produce to its' customers, especially delivery orders where there is not supervision on selections being made. This is not the first time I have received less than satisfactory produce.
Fresh grocery pickers for “on line grocery orders” use up the oldest and longest stock. This unfortunately usually ends up with the on line customers getting not so inviting looking fresh fruit and or vegetables. I’m 85 years old and have trouble walking so I prefer using “on line grocery orders” but I’m not always happy with the results. Please see “Old fat overgrown asparagus “ from my last pickup order “ If pickers are advised to use up oldest fruit and vegetables as seems to be the case! I’m going to switch grocery stores even though it’s not quite it’s a little further away. JAR.
The asparagus I received was brown, wilted, and smelled funny. This was a grocery pickup. I wish if this was the best of the selection, they would have just marked it as out of stock or unavailable. I can’t eat this.
This asparagus looks like they took it out the bottom of the barrel or maybe even the bottom of a trashcan. I don't know if people don't know what asparagus is supposed to look like, but this is horrible. I cannot eat this. I don't understand and I paid for this I want my money back !
Asparagus bunch is rotten and slimy. This is really disappointing as I needed these for one of my kids’ birthday dinner. They were placed immediately in the fridge immediately upon arrival. Took them out to use for dinner and they are not usable. Please do better. We rely on delivery when one of our children is sick. It’s disappointing when items received are rotten and shoppers don’t grab anything on the list without looking.
I ordered asparagus with my order. This is what I received. Shoppers should be given a class on how to select produce. Unless , they are told to select the worst-shaped produce to get rid of it. Very frustrating as I also received a bag of cuties that were old and dry.
Asparagus was dull and would not snap . I washed and cooked but could not eat. This is the second time asparagus was no good. This is 3rd time I bought from Walmart, the first time was very good. I don’t believe that your employees know when asparagus is too old.
This is how my asparagus arrived from Walmart delivery. Completely rotten with the tips rotting off. If I could give it a zero I would! I’m so disappointed Walmart. Do better!
