Almost each one opens to look like a photo from a staged shoot. Could say picture perfect. The middle nut is easily removed from the inside of the ripe ones, and the skin comes away smoothly from the body then, too, if desired. They arrive sturdy with the webbed netting, allowing for full air circulation. especially if you use the netting to hang them. The texture is smooth, and the taste seldom disappoints. We love the price break coming from the bag discount, too.
Wasn’t Haas…. Looks like this day they had Mission avocados…. No biggie, they were good. But if they were bad, would be a different story… Buying produce when you are not the person picking out the fruit or veggie yourself, is a gamble. The staff isn’t paid to stand there and pick the prettiest or the freshest, they pick from the top. And so, its a gamble. There is always customer service as well if your produce is so obviously bad, like slimy mushrooms or moldy fruit (if its visible on top of the pack), otherwise it is a chance you take to receive whatever you receive that might not be to your liking. That is why, I, myself, would never order certain items. Good luck!!
Avocados are a fabulous food and I remember my grandfather having an avocado tree at his home in Southern California. He didn't like avocados so they all fell to the ground and eventually he just cut down the tree avocados are a fabulous food and I remember my grandfather having an avocado tree at his home in Southern California. He didn’t like avocados so they all fell to the ground and eventually he just cut down the tree at these prices. I wish I had been old enough to protest at the time. At these prices. I wish I had been old enough to protest. That was a lot of money on the ground and being plowed back in for garden fertilizer. l bought 2. one of them ripened, ...the other one just got Real Hard . i guess you would say the flesh got tough(?)...weird (?)... l am still trying to get it to feel ripe. l have partially peeled it. l have a feeling. the prblem might be coming from the seed bed area....
most of the time it is a 50/50 chance as to whether they are edible due to ripeness stages.. but otherwise, they are good tasting when they are the right ripeness.. FYI- For those choosing delivery service.. don't use the rate your experience option that pops up when you open your WM app to tip the driver.. twice now, when I click submit it doesn't complete my tip to the driver!!!! and then, there is no other option to tip the driver from your account!! so sorry drivers!!!
My ratings are actually zero but there was no option for it. The avocados are going black inside even before they are ripe. I got these avocados on 10/20/25 green and rock hard because I like to give them a couple of days to ripen up. Unfortunately, I have had to throw out the last 8 - 10 avocados I've purchased within the last 3 months because they are already black inside. I also stopped buying them for a while thinking Walmart just got a bad batch. However, this last time I only got 2 (i usually get 4) hoping they were okay but they weren't. Doesn't Walmart check the quality before putting them out?
I AM GOING TO *STOP* BUYING FRUITS AND VEGETABLES FROM WALMART GOING FORWARD FOR HOME DELIVERY.\ The young people pulling my orders are CLUELESS in choosing GOOD FROM BAD. I ordered an avocado IN MY LAST TWO DELIVERIES AND THE FIRST ONE WAS OVERRIPE AND BLACK INSIDE...SECOND WEEK AVOCADO WAS SO HARD AND NEVER RIPENED AND WENT BAD. CELERY, LETTUCE ...BANANAS...........I COULD GO ON AND ON.....IT'S YOUR HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES WHO DON'T PAY ATTENTION........BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE!!!!!
everytime i order produce, the shoppers pick tge oldest nastiest looking produce. either they are told to give online shoppers the oldest items or they dont care to look at what they are packing. ive gotten things past the expiration date or mushy etc.
Walmart Grocery Delivery — Terrible Fruit and Vegetable Quality and Careless Handling I’m honestly fed up with Walmart’s fruit quality and their delivery service. Nearly every order I get has fruit so badly bruised it rots within a day. Sometimes, I get a whole bag of apples, and thanks to careless handling by the shoppers and delivery drivers, only two or three apples are actually edible. The rest are damaged or spoiled. It feels like nobody at Walmart cares about protecting fresh produce. If you’re ordering fruit from them, don’t be surprised if you’re left with barely half the amount you paid for. This has been a huge waste of money and frustration for me, and I’m seriously thinking of switching to other stores or services that actually handle groceries with some care. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your fruit.
Walmart avocados either arrive rotten or rot within a day or two. The insides are brown. The tiny size of the last one easily fit in my palm. It too was brown inside. Walmart produce has been in poor condition for some time now and it’s getting worse not better.
