Almost each one opens to look like a photo from a staged shoot. Could say picture perfect. The middle nut is easily removed from the inside of the ripe ones, and the skin comes away smoothly from the body then, too, if desired. They arrive sturdy with the webbed netting, allowing for full air circulation. especially if you use the netting to hang them. The texture is smooth, and the taste seldom disappoints. We love the price break coming from the bag discount, too.
Wasn’t Haas…. Looks like this day they had Mission avocados…. No biggie, they were good. But if they were bad, would be a different story… Buying produce when you are not the person picking out the fruit or veggie yourself, is a gamble. The staff isn’t paid to stand there and pick the prettiest or the freshest, they pick from the top. And so, its a gamble. There is always customer service as well if your produce is so obviously bad, like slimy mushrooms or moldy fruit (if its visible on top of the pack), otherwise it is a chance you take to receive whatever you receive that might not be to your liking. That is why, I, myself, would never order certain items. Good luck!!
Avocados are a fabulous food and I remember my grandfather having an avocado tree at his home in Southern California. He didn't like avocados so they all fell to the ground and eventually he just cut down the tree avocados are a fabulous food and I remember my grandfather having an avocado tree at his home in Southern California. He didn’t like avocados so they all fell to the ground and eventually he just cut down the tree at these prices. I wish I had been old enough to protest at the time. At these prices. I order a Family size bag of M %26 M candy and they were shipped from up north and it took 2 to 3 weeks after my pick up order. When I received them this week they were damp and sticky. I really should get my money back but I wont order it like that again. You can’t see sticky and it won’t load the picture. Take my word for it.
I have been having unusual quality of avocados from Walmart. Some have real small seeds and the other medium size in the same order. Both were very hard which is good. One ripened quickly the other not completely. I prepared them and the result was strange. The one that barely was ready to eat was uneatable (3/4th of it was sickly brown and the other one was 1/2 solid and the other half perfect.). I always order two avocados and the results have often disappointed. I’m going to get them else.
My ratings are actually zero but there was no option for it. The avocados are going black inside even before they are ripe. I got these avocados on 10/20/25 green and rock hard because I like to give them a couple of days to ripen up. Unfortunately, I have had to throw out the last 8 - 10 avocados I've purchased within the last 3 months because they are already black inside. I also stopped buying them for a while thinking Walmart just got a bad batch. However, this last time I only got 2 (i usually get 4) hoping they were okay but they weren't. Doesn't Walmart check the quality before putting them out?
These avocados from Colombia are not great. They are picked too early, half don't ever ripe, and those that do turn out slightly soft on one side and hard on the other. They are also stringy. Although the Mexican avocados may be more expensive right now they are worth the price. Maria
everytime i order produce, the shoppers pick tge oldest nastiest looking produce. either they are told to give online shoppers the oldest items or they dont care to look at what they are packing. ive gotten things past the expiration date or mushy etc.
Some home delivery Shoppers don't choose well. I would suggest Walmart train shoppers on how to pick vegetables. Eight out of ten times the veggies delivered are severely bruised, over-ripe, or spoiled. I love Haas avocados BUT, my last order was like mashed potatoes in a green shell. Before then they were black inside but firm inside. Whatever process - and I know there are many - before sending veggies to market, needs to be stopped. These chemical processes are terrible and ruining food... we are not farm animals. Stop the selling ploys. You're just losing in the end. From now on I will pick my veggies.
The last 4 times I purchased Haas avocados they were disgusting, the inside was grayish with hard spots, so unappealing I threw them all in the trash and will never buy Haas again. I thought they were supposed to be the superior choice for avocados. I would rather have Florida avocados, but have not seen them in Walmart's produce department.
