I ordered the iceberg lettuce, and let me tell you, what I got was the biggest, heaviest head of lettuce I had ever seen. It was so big. So heavy. I thought I had hit the jackpot. That was until I took a closer look and found out I had been sent a head of cabbage. Imagine my disappointment. No lettuce for my hamburger. No lettuce for my salad. No lettuce for my tacos. None. Nada. Nothing. Oh, the disappointment. On the bright side, I made cabbage steaks. They were pretty tasty. So, if you're in the mood for a cabbage steak or cabbage in general, order yourself some iceberg lettuce and enjoy your cabbage.
I ordered lettuce for a pick up order, so we can start there. I’m guessing the person filling the order has no idea how to pick a head of lettuce. This head of lettuce was so light and small, I can’t believe it was the only head available. To no one’s fault it had spots of brown throughout. I think I may put a note in when I do order again to have them pick one that is big, heavy and healthy.
The “head” of lettuce was worst I ever received. It was so small it could fit in my billfold. Made exactly one small side salad. Hope this is a one time error. A head of lettuce this small should never had been put out for sale. Picker should be trained to pick Solid 2 hand size or say not available.
This lettuce is consistently bad quality. This time they gave me the smallest head of lettuce I had ever seen. Literally it made me laugh. By the time I pulled off the wilted gross pieces on the outside there was hardly any left. I'd look elsewhere for fresh produce. It's not just the lettuce that is bad.
This sat in the fridge for 2 days after arriving and when I opened the bag there were a dozen or more dead bugs. So I peeled it all apart so I could give it a proper wash. Instead I am never eating lettuce again because the amount of small bugs that were in that head of lettuce omg and the rot that was on the leaves….. gross I am traumatized. No amount of washing could have saved that, it went straight to the bin.
Did a grocery pickup order and came home to put up my groceries. Get to my “head” of lettuce and it is the saddest head of lettuce I’ve ever seen. I guess I should just go in myself, but I’m a disabled vet and that’s not always possible. You guys should train the order fillers to do better… I’m sure they wouldn’t have picked this out for themselves.
the head of iceberg lettuce that was in my order today was absolutely disgusting! it cost 2.48 and i couldn't use a bit of it! walmart s produce really needs to be updated. its the worst place to buy so called fresh produce! so gald we have an Aldi close by to run to! Very disappointed in Walmart!
They brought me a completely rotted head of lettuce that was also squished. Must have had other stuff stacked on top of it to be so squished. I wish the shoppers could be made to eat the stuff they pick out to send me, expecting me to eat it!!! The most very vile head of lettuce they could find. 😫
Just like most of the produce I've tried from WM, the freshness and shelf life of this lettuce was not as good as from other grocery stores. It always seems like WM gets the lowest quality fresh produce and sells it. I like having a lot of fresh produce, generally try not to get any from WM, but sometimes I need it right away, so get it knowing I need to use it up that day, or within a day or two, or it'll go bad. This lettuce was not a nice, fresh firm head; rather it was a loose head and easy to squeeze. I like nice, firm heads that look fresh, but that wasn't the case with this one. Granted, I had it added to a delivery, so the shopper should have known how to pick a nice product, but that's another issue. I keep hoping WM will up their produce game, but they never have, so I just try to get my fresh veggies elsewhere whenever possible when my garden is out of season.
Do not recommend unless you need only a couple of very small pieces of lettuce. The head was smaller than a soft ball. By the time you remove the unusable outside pieces you end up with a head that is just a little larger than a golf ball.. very disappointing when you count on getting good produce.
